THE WORLD BROKE
A downloadable game
A reality plague. Few people are left, the world irrevocably scattered. Hazy pastel sunsets. Vaguely California, drugs, mechas, alien wars, fallout. Aliens walking the earth, dreams, stories and legends are real now. We still wear denim, sneakers, drink coke, snort coke, remember the world before, all that is gone. The final summer, everlasting. Swords, rayguns and droids. The war is over. The war is never over.
It's therapy. It's sort of a poem. It's probably a game. It's 2020. You should try it out.
Rules based on Chris McDowall's minimalistic Into the Odd. 16 pages, fully illustrated. Half letter, can print as a booklet, reads well on screen. Artpunk all the way.

Reminds me of “ The day the saucers came” by Neil Gaiman. Nice game setup! Made me thinking of making my own game…
Inspiring you to make your own game is all the praise I can ask for! :D
Do we need any other rule books or is everything included?
All included! You have most of the basic rules on one of the preview images, so you can take a look there if you want to get an idea.
I imagine the accompanying music for making the character sheet is Way to Blue by Nick Drake. Love the Polaroids.
I was considering adding a soundtrack. Will need to work on that one! :)
Yes, please! :D
Wow, I totally forgot about this. Thank you so much for reminding me! It's not a perfect recreation of my mood from August 2020 but it's an approximation. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/23e0FuiKCDCrOEemm8eOTq?si=3130241ac7304d7a (added to the game description too).
Huzzah! I love adding playlist links when organizing all my gaming books in Calibre…
I hope you like it, both game and playlist. :)
