Unified Voyage: Enhancing collaborative group travel planning and coordination

Published: 13 May 2024 Publication History

Abstract

This work is centered around addressing the difficulties encountered by individuals who engage in collaborative travel planning while ultimately embarking on separate journeys. Common difficulties include missed turns, navigational confusion arising from the guide's directions to the driver, signal disruptions, and communication impediments. In response to these challenges, this work present a novel application designed to streamline the travel experience and enhance coordination among group members. This navigates to an innovative application designed to enhance group travel experiences. This application offers individual authentication and connectivity through unique access codes, ensuring personalized interactions while maintaining privacy. A key feature is the comprehensive visualization of the designated route, providing identical navigation information to all travelers. Real-time alternative route suggestions are available in case of wrong turns, ensuring a seamless journey. Travelers can collaboratively plan stops, promoting synchronized breaks and activities. Live location tracking displays real-time vehicle positions, facilitating coordination and confirming adherence to the planned route. This application offers improved navigation, coordination, and convenience, enhancing group journeys to be more efficient, enjoyable, and memorable.
