Please comment your thoughts! I'd love to hear any feedback you have, and ESPECIALLY any bugs you find! I've worked pretty hard to make this about as bug free as possible, but especially with the number of mechanics I've added (detailed in the readme file) it's pretty difficult to test every possible iteration without an extra hundred hours of work, so I'm counting on you all to report any issues you find here! If/when you report any bugs here, please include steps to replicate the bug since I likely won't be able to figure it out if it's not something I can get to happen in my own game.

Also - if anyone has/knows a good resources for voreish sound effects, I'd love to hear about it! Many of the sfx I have amassed unfortunately do not fit the game properly, so I've been working with a limited set of audio and would love to have more to work with, especially with all of the extra animations I plan on adding. Struggle and sloshing sound effects especially!
Additionally, if anyone is interested in helping with sprite work/animation for the game, shoot me a message with some examples of your work! This game needs a LOT of animation work done.

Is there a cheat code?
There's a debugger that can be activated with F3 - while active, certain keys will effectively act as cheat codes, like ones that restore your health or give DNA points. The readme file in the download says which keys do what

You can't. You need a computer to play this.

I've gotten to the point where I play around inside the lamia's belly, while she tries to whittle down my almost 700 hp just for fun, having a good lamia heal you in her belly would be nice.
I'd love to see some soft-vore and unbirth.

i expected an map expansion but, rly just better lighting ? thats it ? id mean im no game dev, i skin aircraft in some roblox, what possibly could i know. just that im kinda sad that the game didnt get any yknow stuff.
also idk how to get eaten by snake, and the dragon disappeared for some reason, prob some how killed itself

Check the changelog, there's a LOT more than just new lighting. Besides the 9 months of work reanimating the player, I also rewrote physics and collisions to be less buggy and more optimized, cleaned up animations on a number of enemies, added several new sound effects, added a new predator enemy to the game, completely rewrote enemy AI from scratch so they now consider a FOV cone/sound emmision with consideration towards obstructions/navigation code to follow the player around complex areas/gave them new moves, added a host of new sound effects, and plenty more all detailed in the changelog. The blind drake was temporairly removed because it would have taken longer to get its rework and the update had already been postponed long enough.
Patreon supporters are also the ones who choose which new features get worked on next - currently, they've voted on expanding some of the base mechanics and adding some new powerups. I have had new levels as a voting option the last few polls though. If you'd like to see new levels sooner, you can see about joining voting for those.
In general, my development plan has always been to solidify the foundation of the game as much as possible before developing more levels - reason being that things like platforming mechanics, enemy design, mechanic design, and more ALL change how a level should be designed. If I worked on new levels earlier, I would have had to throw away a significant portion of work due to how mechanics have changed throughout development. We're finally hitting the end of the foundation road though - besides the update I'm currently working on with more new base mechanics, I have I think just 2 or so more updates that don't specifically involve making more levels (one featuring the new blind drake and one featuring the beginning of the game's story mode).

will the save files for the previous versions be compatible with the newer versions as they are released on itch? or do we gotta start fresh with each version?
That depends on if I've had to update the save/load script in new updates - I need to update the script any time there are new variables to be saved, such as from new powerups, entities, objects, interactables, and so on. I'll usually note in the changelog if I've had to update the save/load script. If you want to quickly regain lost progress, you can use the debugger to give yourself DNA points as well as do a couple other things - check the readme file for detailed info
II find it funny how Raymundo2112's new video made me aware of that one clickbait guy lazily modding this game to have Samus in it when the first version of this game already had her. Even better that Ray himself for obvious reasons but still didn't even know that this used to be a Metroid fangame.

idk. How new is your laptop? just checking to see if age could be a problem, but even then what does it say when you try to download it?
i keep trying to download it but it says "file not on site" what the hell does that mean? i get like 3/4 of the way thru the download then it fails.
That's odd, it still works fine for me - maybe you can try downloading on a different device then moving the file to a computer?
So stupid question here, but for those of us who are lazy or just want to explore the game a bit more without worrying about small stuff could you add cheats like unlimited health or ammo?

ngl the next huge update is going to take months to make so maybe it will be a new level
who knows, it's their decision. I'm just giving an idea is all if they feel stuck at all at any time. tho this update was definitely a change for me cuz last I played this there was no snake girls and the one dragon like boss was at the end of the second level.

Currently I'm adding a few more core mechanics (some extra melee attacks, upgrades, wall jumping, maybe ledge grabbing), but new levels are definitely planned soon after
yeah take your time, games take a long ass time to finish. But as long as you feel like you accomplished a goal then das all dat matters in the end. Take your time, only reason I brought it up was cuz I felt it ended soon, which is common for games in development, or maybe a different reason idr really why I did. But maybe you could add a console into it so if you wanted to use cheats in a new game+ like thing after reaching the end of level 2. Max out everything or have inf stam, health, etc. Like I've said earlier, don't need to but I just wanna throw the idea out there.
Also I would laugh if the player got a digestion game over, there be a 1/whatever chance for it to say "You got Glorped."

Been checking this out since it was announced, and man the animations are extremely smooth and well done. Didn't know the protag was gonna get another design change, but she still looks good. Eager for future updates.
I also really loved the lamia enemy. Love when you have to worry about being eaten as well. I saw that weight gain was a planned feature in the future. For the enemies that can eat the player, or at least the female ones, do you have any plans for them getting weight gain if they digest them? Maybe something similar to when you digest an enemy where after the weight gain, they burp out items of the player, like her weapon and boots.
But anyway, great update!
