What is the lifecycle of OVHcloud dedicated servers?
OVHcloud embraces circular economy principles and re-uses its servers. As soon as we offer a new generation of Bare Metal servers in the catalogue, the previous servers become part of the second (Rise), third (So you Start) and fourth (Kimsufi)-generation Eco range, in the order in which they were launched, with the oldest servers being part of the Kimsufi stage.
What are the different Eco server ranges?
Our Eco servers are divided into three separate ranges. These tell you which generation, or ‘life’, the machine belongs to.
- Our second-life servers go into the Rise range.
- Our third-life servers go into the So you Start range.
- Our fourth-life servers go into the Kimsufi range.

What can OVHcloud Eco dedicated servers be used for?
