Hello World!

Earth Hacks is an environmental hackathon organization.

We accelerate transformative environmental education and push forward a constellation of international environmental projects through our events, ranging from mapping urban heat islands and marine mammal conservation to teaching students about air quality and the impacts of fast fashion.

Wait, what’s an Environmental Hackathon?

/inˌvīrənˈmen(t)l/Adjective /ˈhakəˌTHän/Noun

A fast-paced, creative competition where teams work on climate and environmental challenges.

Hackathons have their roots in the open source software movement, and have increasingly become common on college campuses and in organizations around the world. We pull from the open-source ethos of collaboration, community, and open education to harness hackathons as a form of climate action.
