Oh no! Mayu’s in a pinch! She’s woefully behind on paying the rent, and her scary landlady, Miss Himemiya, has issued an ultimatum. Mayu needs to earn ¥100,000 by the end of October, or she’ll be kicked out!
Being evicted from her home would be bad enough, but Mayu has a secret: she’s actually a vampire. Mayu hasn’t been a vampire for a full year yet, and the church is keeping close tabs on her to ensure she’s been behaving herself. According to the stone-faced Sister Juriel, it’s the church’s standard policy to execute all vampires without a fixed address, lest they start roaming the streets causing chaos.
If Mayu can’t pay the rent in time, she won’t just wind up homeless: she’ll be executed! What’s a fledgeling vampire to do?
Assume control of Mayu and manage these tumultuous two weeks of her life. Help her raise money to avoid a grisly end, all while managing her stress levels and forming relationships with girls over the internet. You never know: come Halloween, Mayu might be able to land a date, and she might even get to nibble on a cute girl’s neck!
Do your best, and don’t let this upcoming Halloween be Mayu’s last! She’s counting on you!

the premise of this game looks so, so, SO cute, and i genuinely wish there was a way for me to play it. would you ever consider releasing a downloadable version for android if its possible? ofc, no pressure no worries if not, i'll still be supporting you and hyping this game up regardless! anything and everything you release is legit peakness, ebi >_<!!!
i didn't make an android version for this one since i think some parts of the code wouldn't work nicely on android and i'd need to edit some stuff... i don't think it'd take a very long time but i've been focusing on other things

hello!! i really enjoyed this game, and I think it definitely deserves a lot more attention! i love all the typing quirks that you give the characters -- eg juriel not using punctuation, wakaba texting like a discord RPer (lol) it gives them so much personality!
i find the dialogue and situations very realistic too, especially the conversations between mayu and fubuki really feel like ones that i would have with my friends.
i've played through all the routes, both good and bad endings, and if it's not too much trouble, could you provide hints on how to unlock endings 4, 5, and 6? they're the only ones i haven't unlocked yet. i saw that you mentioned they all depend on your affection with sumire & juriel, but i think it would take quite a while to test out max affection with sumire & juriel alongside each of the factors (thirst, stress, rent) just for three endings.
anyway, thank you for making shut-in vampire! i'll definitely be replaying it!

It didn't get too many downloads but I'm glad a few people checked it out at least!
For these missing endings, I don't recall exactly what correlates to what, but you get them by:
- hitting max thirst with Mayu (can do it on any day) while having max affection with Sumire
- not having enough money to pay your rent on Halloween while having max affecton with Sumire
- not having enough money to pay your rent on Halloween while having max affection with Juriel

I if its not too much to ask can someone put up a guide that tells you how to get all the available endings? I managed to get 5/18 and I have no idea how I'm supposed to get the others, let alone even unlock the doctor so if you can include that too it that would also be nice.

Ah I see I didn't really see it when I scrolled through the comments so it might be like way down there. But thanks for the info I'll look further down or even go through the other pages if i have to, to reach it still would like to see an ending guide though sometime in the near future.
I probably won't make a full guide because there are too many endings (and I am working on too many other things), but each girl has 2 endings, a good and a bad end, which you unlock by talking to them 4 times and raising enough money to pay your rent by the deadline. The good and bad ends are determined by the choices you make talking to them, and if you're consistently nice or consistently mean.
There's also a bunch of other shorter bad endings which make up the rest (eg letting your stress get too high, letting your thirst get too high, not being able to pay your rent on time, and then a bunch of permutations on these mostly based on your affection with sumire and juriel. several of the generic bad ends have alternate versions if you're at max relationship w/ sumire or juriel specifically).
This game was actually really good, I liked it a lot. Though the author's got serious issues though it seems like this girl needs therapy, though its mostly because of editor and her stressing about her life at university. At least it seems that way to me her editor seems like a real slave driver he's barely giving her any chance to rest, and its making everything else around her come crashing down and that's the very definition of exploitative behavior. So I kinda feel sorry for her actually, so its actually good that she's got a friend like mayu that supports her so much and helps pick her back up when she's feeling down. if I were mayu though here's what I would tell her that editor of yours is a real scumbag he's working you into the ground while barely giving you a chance to rest. That's the very definition of exploitative behavior right there so I you need to fire that asshole and theirs one of three options here. One hire somebody who actually treats with you respect, two consider going freelance or three maybe we could partner up and work together. Because anything is better than working for a scum bag like that and getting treated like that. Also I actually kind of like gacha games though some people may consider them exploitative it all depends on your preference I suppose, also for instance theirs some gacha games that actually give out good bonuses for beginners like you getting one UR girl with a ticket or a free 10x pull sometimes 2-3 of them depending on the game. Beginners luck is also a thing so you might get good characters if you just keep pulling that includes during certain events, though I wouldn't recommend spending unless you got money most people just use their own free gems to pull like I do theirs also some gacha games that give rate up for certain characters during certain events. so I'd recommend also doing gacha's for the characters you want during those times. Anyway we're getting off topic as for all the other love interest I think Its hard to pick just one as a favorite because I kind of liked them all. They were all fun and unique each with their own unique backstories, If I had to choose though I'd probably choose the landlady though being a magical girl sounds fun too I will admit. I admire sum ire's dedication to keep up the old place despite it being somewhat dilapidated. Just to honor/keep her late grandmother and late guardians memories alive, all the other routes were nice too listening to the hapless magical girl about all her troubles and eventually helping with with her struggles in the end. Then theirs juri as you start getting closer and closer to her she starts to understand your troubles and starts emphasizing with the main character. Realizing that's she's actually not so bad and that everyone has their own troubles even vampires her ending was actually kind of the most heartwarming for me, though theirs still one character that I never managed to unlock and that was the doctor that was shown up above I have no idea how I'm even supposed to unlock her.
The story is very cute! Modern Vampire's life is so hard haha. I'm pretty bad at socializing so Mayu often end up FA or kicked out. Also, tetris is hard...
Quite interesting VN. I liked how it's read and the personalities of the characters are very consistent and amusing. The specific dialogue for the choices is short-lived but I don't mind.
I's have preferred much more if there was more animation. The characters rarely do anything besides changing the expression to give the hint of their mood.
Also, navigating with the keyboard to select the option to proceed isn't straightforward. Maybe some key shortcut to jump to select the menu options or some mechanism to make it straightforward how to reach to select the first option when they appear would be nice.

The VN was made for a month long game jam, and as I was busy for the last 10 days of the month I effectively had about 20 days to write and code the whole game. Therefore, there wasn't much time to add fancy animations, especially when the project is already quite long for a free game and I spent a decent chunk of money commissioning the existing character artwork.

I like moving the main menu background around with the mouse. The pink and desaturated brown color pallet is a perfect mix of creepy and cute. Mayu's design feels busy like I don't know exactly where to look. Wonderful music, displays emotional themes well. Game mechanics are easy to understand, gives the player more control in-universe. I'm captivated by making Mayu Succeed. Having an important deadline keeps the energy of story progression up! Love Sumire <3 Love the mp3 player. The environments and assets are so fun to look at. The visual format is also unique. Several paths and choices to make, I was happily surprised! Overall wonderful story, gameplay, and feels polished and finished. Great job devs!
The music wasn't made specially for the game, it's actually a collection of remixes from Yume Nikki which I found on YouTube. I was listening to this music while writing/coding the project, and I liked it so much I asked the composer if I could use it in this VN, and they agreed. I'm very happy they did, I think the music is really atmospheric!

This is very fun! The characters are fleshed-out very nicely with their chat conversations, it's very enjoyable! The art is so, so cute and the GUI overall looks very soft and nice!! In my playthrough I haven't met all the available girls yet, I've been playing around with the other activities. Juri is very cute, I like her a lot and Wakabaka is just so fun hahaha... Thank you for making this!

Poor Mayu.. Can't even be a Vtuber. I really felt for her. Being a vampire sucks! x) I loved the dialogue with Juriel in particular - the contrast of her deadpan delivery with Mayu's personality was very fun. :) Got Ending #8 on my first playthrough and I'll go back to try some others. I was so worried about Mayu being able to pay rent that I just had her work and drink blood, lol, but that was actually a satisfying ending, too.
Also really enjoyed the retro/Gothic music + the UI layout/sprite format.
Writing Mayu and Juri's dialogue was a lot of fun! I think they're both very sweet haha
The game is designed so each playthrough should be relatively quick after the first one, since you can skip through most of the text. Seeing a few other outcomes shouldn't be too taxing (I hope haha)
I'm very happy with the music and how the UI and the art all looks, I'm glad I was able to bring my ~vision~ to life haha
Hello! I am greatly enjoying this game's story and characters. I do have a question though. I am trying to get all the endings, but I am struggling to get ending 17. I figured it followed the pattern of being a bad ending for Dr. Saloman (well, 'bad') that you get if you pick the ruder options in her conversations like for the other girls, but no matter what options I've picked over a few attempts at playing her route I always get ending 18 instead. Is there something specific I need to do instead?
It's possible to get ending 17, but the point restrictions are tighter than for the other girls. You just need to pick all the less hostile/rude options where you can, and you should be able to get it. If you pick the 'wrong choice' too many times then you'll get ending 18 instead.
I really love this story and concept but I'm so confused, how do you meet Akura?? I've meet and romanced/gotten an ending with the other 4 girls, but I'm still yet to even meet Akura, all I can gather is that she's the doctor (Dr.Salomon) that supplies Mayu with blood from the hospital. Any tips/hints on how to meet her or get any other endings?

You need to try and buy blood without enough money to pay for it. It's easiest to do this near the start of the game, by buying one pack of blood, surfing the net, then trying to buy blood again first thing the following night.

I'll think about making an Android version. I'll probably have to disable the minigame since I'm not sure if it'll run nicely on phones, and I'll need to test if the UI etc works too.
