[edit]Aleksi
- A girl, I suspected. No, it would have to be a boy, a sturdy one too, and he would be named Juho Aleksi. He'd be a true Ostrobothnian lad, with a cap and dirty hands.
- 2001, Sari Vuoristo, Flamingopaikka, Gummerus, →ISBN, page 118:
- Aleksiko sen nimi oli? Tietysti oli, sellaisista Inka piti, ja se taisi kuulua suosituimpiin nimiin sillä hetkellä.
- Aleksi was his name? Of course, Inka liked that name, and it was probably among the most popular names at that time.
- 2018, Pauliina Rauhala, Synninkantajat, Gummerus, →ISBN, page 302:
- Voin kertoa. Hän on seitsemäs veljes. Nimeksi tulee Aleksi.
Aleksi, Aliisa hymyili. Se tarkoittaa auttajaa ja puolustajaa. Katso, miten ahnaasti hän syö, elämännälkäinen.
Matti olisi halunnut jonkun toisella kirjaimella alkavan, mutta minä pidän sinusta muistona A:n.- I can tell you. He's the seventh brother and will be named Aleksi
Aleksi, Alissa smiled. It means 'helper', 'defender'. Look how greedily he is eating, hungry for life.
Matti would've liked a name beginning with some other letter, but I want an A to remind me of you.
- I can tell you. He's the seventh brother and will be named Aleksi
