Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax (電撃文庫 FIGHTING CLIMAX) is a 2D arcade fighting game published by Sega which brings together selected characters from light novel series published under ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint. The project is a collaboration between Sega and Dengeki Bunko as part of the 20th year anniversary of the light novel imprint.[1] The arcade game was released on March 18, 2014.[2]

Gameplay

Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is a two-dimensional fighting game. The game uses a standard eight-way joystick and four buttons: A (weak attack), B (medium attack), C (strong attack), and D (support, to summon support characters). Players can also dash, back dash, and two levels of jump. The player can unleash special Impact Skill attacks and can use Blast icons for various Blast attacks.[3]

Character roster

The roster is composed of characters from several light novel series under the Dengeki Bunko imprint, among playable characters and assist characters that can be called while in the middle of a round to help the playable character in various ways. All characters are voiced by their respective actors from the anime adaptations. A malevolent entity who takes a form of Akira Yuki (voiced by Shin-ichiro Miki) from Sega's Virtua Fighter series is the boss with Pai Chan (voiced by Minami Takayama) as his assist.[4]
