Obtained his B.S. degree in Business Administration at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, his M.B.A. degree from IMEDE, now IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and also attended Harvard´s Advanced Management Program. Joined Vitro in 1974 and in 1985 was appointed President Chief Executive Officer of Vitro’s Glass Containers Division. On January 1, 1995 was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Vitro until November 2008. Mr. Sada is Chairman of Trustees of the National Museum of History (Chapultepec Castle), Chairman of the Parque Ecológico Chipinque. Co-Founder of OVIS (Organización de Vida Silvestre) an Environment Company whose purpose is to preserve the Mexican Desert Sheep in the state of Sonora and Gulf of Cortez in México, Board Member of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas. Founder and first President of (COMCE) Mexican Bussiness Council Foreign Trade and Honorary Chairman of Centro Fox (Biblioteca Fox) affiliated with former President from Mexico Vicente Fox. Federico Sada was born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico in 1949, is married to Liliana Melo de Sada and has one daughter and two sons; Liliana, Federico and Mauricio. His hobbies are reading, skiing, animal species conservation and environmental care.

He has been recognized internationally for his involvement in the with alliances between countries with such honors as the Legion Honor from France, Orden Nacional de Cruzeiro do Sul from Brazil, Order Antonio Jose Irisari From Guatemala, Serviciul Credincios From Romania.

During the last 20 years Federico has been actively promoting educational and service programs and the Glass Museum Monterrey and has published sixteen specialty books.
