Ralph E. Johnson is co-author of the influential Computer science textbook, Design Patterns. A pioneer in the Smalltalk community, he is (jocularly) referred to as being in the "Gang of Four."

Prof Johnson [1] is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He attends the Object-Oriented conference, OOPSLA every year.
