Supermium is a free and open source browser based on the Chromium browser. A feature of the browser is support for older versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system starting with Windows XP SP1 user line and Windows Server 2003 SP1 server line. There are plans to add support for Windows 2000 in the future.

There are 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the browser.

The browser supports logging into your Google account and synchronizing settings and extensions with Google Chrome.[3]

As of March 29, 2024, the browser is version 122.0.6261.85, while the Chromium browser is version 123.0.6312.86.[4]

The author of the browser is Shane Fournier, who is known for developing the Windows Vista Extended Kernel, which allows programs designed for later versions of Windows to run on Windows Vista.[5][6]
