Gokul is an Indian film director, who works in Tamil cinema. He made his directional debut with the action-drama Rowthiram[1], followed by an ensemble comedy Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara. He is best known for directing interesting stories revolving around off-beat characters and also for handling multiple genres. He is currently working on his next project titled Kashmora, featuring Karthi in the lead.

Gokul was born in Chennai and pursued his degree in Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Chennai.
