Help Needed
Hello Acalamari, I need a little help from you. I have been blocked and I believe the block is a result of a misunderstanding. I have selected you randomly from the list of active administrators. I was blocked for paid editing about two years ago. At that time, I did do paid editing and I was blocked for two weeks. Anyway, recently I was blocked because someone sent an email in the OTRS. I haven't seen the email. I tried the UTRS but I got an unrelated response, which I have discussed below. Anyway since I cannot respond to the email from UTRS and since the evidence is private, can you please review it. I have not been given any chance of explaining the email. I am pretty sure, this email would have been from 2 years ago. If I give you my email address here, can you send that evidence to me? If this is some evidence that for which I have been blocked, don't you think that I have the right to see it?
The response that I got from the UTRS was am declining your request because it doesn't look like you're being completely honest with us due to your conflict of interest: http://www.muhammadalikhalid.com/search-engine-optimization/ This website is not mine. Muhammad Ali is the most common name in the Muslim world and this happens to be just another person who works in the same city as I am in. He is a web developer, whereas I was only a writer.

Even if you choose not to help me, please just let me know. Thanks.Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 16:50, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

Need Help in WP:PBUH

Hi bro,

I need your help removing terrorism section from WP:PBUH.

I removed it citing reason why it should be removed but CambridgeBayWeather put it back in.

If you can please go to that page and remove that section by reverting the change done by CambridgeBayWeather.

It will establish a consensus that more than one person think that it should be removed.

I also tried to talk it out with CambridgeBayWeather on his talk page and you can see my post there as well.

Help me brother. Sajjad Altaf (talk) 01:54, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) Picking somebody else who you think might agree with you, in order to construct a fake consensus, is canvassing. Don't do that. bobrayner (talk) 02:36, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Sajjad. Hope you are doing well. First off, Bobrayner is right that this practice is canvassing and secondly I am not sure which article you are talking about. If you and some use disagree about something, then you should see Wikipedia:Dispute resolution. This page will give you a step by step guide on how you can resolve the issue. If you have already tried talking with the user and you are not able to come to a solution, you can try getting a Third Opinion. Hope this helps.Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 11:30, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dean Andrew Kantis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Department of Defense (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks

Thank you for the kind comment about my talk page post. (Frankly, I was happy enough with it that I copied it into my user space, so it's there if I ever need the same sort of thing again.)

And to answer your question: I first watched The Simpsons when the first short aired on The Tracy Ullman Show all those years ago, and watched every episode for decades. The past couple years, I've been more slack on watching; life is full. --Nat Gertler (talk) 19:23, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I used to love love luv Ugly Betty ;)

Hey, How's it goin Muhammad? Are you still watching it ... or have finished the series?? --lilpiglet 09:26, 19 February 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lilpiglet (talkcontribs)

Greetings. I am doing great. How are you? I loooovvveee it too. I have seen the entire series. Saw it back in 2010. Don't why they cancelled. I still do have hopes that some day they would make a movie.Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 15:48, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for all that great info! By then, I had read a lot of it already but it's great tool for reference, and am grateful for that. Now, I did not know that Ugly Betty was cancelled, I thought they ended it with those two together. But come to think of it, it did end quite abruptly. So, with great lil' search on wiki, what do you know it was cancelled however the cult following of the show is trying to revive it for at least a movie (I am assuming like sex and the city). Were you behind any of this :P :P . lilpiglet 07:44, 22 February 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lilpiglet (talkcontribs)
Hahaha. No I am not behind any of this. :-D Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 06:51, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I was just teasing. btw, how would you go about nominating a deletion of a page? There is a page that is very questionable and biased. The source if read in it's entirety makes you make you more content that is violating Wikipedia's NPOV?? lilpiglet 09:27, 23 February 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lilpiglet (talkcontribs)
There are two ways. One is that you can do all the stuff manually, that's quite difficult. The other is that you turn on Wikipedia:Twinkle in your account and nominate it from there. Go to the Twinkle page and you will see instructions for turning it on in your account. Using Twinkle, you can perform a lot of things easily on Wikipedia. Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 09:46, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
And to have done it the archaic stone age manually, i am just oh so ever glad that I asked. Thank you so much, not only was it laborious but most of all time consuming. Btw, the topic was Allahabad Address; it would be great to have your input, if you'd like as well. Sorry for the late reply, I saw the message and then I saw Twinkle and I was typing ecstatically on you wall, when the internet server at home went out until today. Thank you so very much Muhammad Ali Khalid :) lilpiglet 21:07, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad I was able to help you. As for the article, I cannot be very sure about. History is not really my area of interest and to tell you the truth, I am not very good at it either. If you believe that the article should be deleted, then go ahead and nominate it. Make sure that you clearly specify your reasons for believing that the article should be deleted when you are nominating it. I think you should read this as well. [1].Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 03:34, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Where do I begin? Ok, so the intro has a hodgepodge of unnecessary info and neglects to briefly inform the absolute necessary ones:
Etymology
History (I understand that every country tries to downplay certain things or may have been taught wrong history that contradicts evidence based sources, which for the people who want to try to understand the Pakistani story, and in order to that you have to go to teh beginning but if that foundation of history is wabbly, it creates a lot of mistrust for those who are wanting to get information on Pakistan and further creates a divide amongst Pakistanis who have been fed wrong information by family, teacher, media, social class, etnicity ... which will only cause polarity and never understanding - and that is what Wiki is about ... trying to understand ourselves by understanding others
- Ancient History
- Mughal History (HIndostan)
- British India
- All-India Muslim League
- Pakistan
- Dominion of Pakistan and Monarchy of Pakistan
- Islamic Republic
- Modern times
Geography
talk about the landscape and floral and fona but keep it breif and create a detailed article
Government and Politics
Law
Foreign Relations and Military
it mentions a small stuff like volunteer troops sent to Israel (this is beside the point of discussion, but that war is something not to be proud of, as Pakistan and Israel were created very much in similar fashion: !) both had a hard time to decide if they wanted joint state or become a separate nation 2) for people who shared similar religious custom; 2) secular country; 3) orthodox of both countries were ardently against creation of the state but then once it is made come and have a huge impact on how the politics are run 4) highlighting that small role increases people disliking people who are Pakistani but more importantly it further creates hatred amongsts Pakistanis. (lol, i myself have not had a good day with them today). If you want to create one, why not just have a detailed military page?? Fails to include terrorism, Taliban, Osama bin Laden (as painful as these issues might be to Pakitanis, I think people would be more warm and open once they see more transparency amongst Pakistanis).
International Organizations
Provinces and Territories
Economy
Science and Technology (or Agriculture - or both as most of Pakistan is still not an industrialized country)
Demographics (can talk about age of the country, etc and religion here) again not details but not over generalizations
Language
Culture (which would also include Religion)

Grammar wise there are times where it says an independent nation ... and then sovereign. I mean that is just pointless, unless the population does not feel emancipated (either through culture, religion, or foreign nosiness but all of it has to be brief and credible.) oh in the intro, perhaps you can elegantly help many people's misconception of how Pakistan was split from India rather it was that in around 1940 the talks of unity of Muslims and Hindus by the Muslim League, Congress, and Ghandi were going no where so they thought was best that they both did become a separate nation. Briefly mention how Ghandi went on strike for Pakistan when the Congress decided not to give Pakistan half of the treasury as it was promised. IF there is good source it was partially due to british divide and conquer ... incorporate that. It would be great to have the national anthem that can be played also, any sort of name should be pronounced in a clear way as you would in Urdu. Like Pakistan is pronounced PAW-KISS-TAWN (and that is the only way it should be pronounced ... not "Pe-kiss-tan" no matter how bad the English had butchered it. But There are three or four pronunciations of Pakistan and then the format should only follow what Wiki requires for the English world, and that means western English because majority westerners will come on wikipedia to read bout Pakistan than Pakistanis. All of this would make the article quite neutral and help people relate to Pakistan, understand it's struggles with respect to it's own people and the world; and hopefully this can also help Pakistanis understand how the world views them and the things they can do (and are doing) to increase tolerance and for people to say hey they are not so different than us at all, or different than what our countries were doing at one point (and some won't ... but that's expected).

As for today, I did purposely put on the tags (some of them were mistakenly added though, and some I think I chose the wrong one ... I thought of doing ti sectionally but then that would be huge one, not to mention there is discrepancy on the infobox that needs to be addressed but I get accused of being "Indian" ... I don't know evolutionary wise, but I know I am less of an Indian than a Pakistani :P — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lilpiglet (talkcontribs) 09:06, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve John Barrett (salon)

Hi, I'm Libby norman. Muhammad Ali Khalid, thanks for creating John Barrett (salon)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This page needs toning down for neutrality.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Libby norman (talk) 19:04, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Muhammad Ali Khalid. This message is part of a mass mailing to people who appear active in reviewing articles for creation submissions. First of all, thank you for taking part in this important work! I'm sorry this message is a form letter – it really was the only way I could think of to covey the issue economically. Of course, this also means that I have not looked to see whether the matter is applicable to you in particular.

The issue is in rather large numbers of copyright violations ("copyvios") making their way through AfC reviews without being detected (even when easy to check, and even when hallmarks of copyvios in the text that should have invited a check, were glaring). A second issue is the correct method of dealing with them when discovered.

If you don't do so already, I'd like to ask for your to help with this problem by taking on the practice of performing a copyvio check as the first step in any AfC review. The most basic method is to simply copy a unique but small portion of text from the draft body and run it through a search engine in quotation marks. Trying this from two different paragraphs is recommended. (If you have any question about whether the text was copied from the draft, rather than the other way around (a "backwards copyvio"), the Wayback Machine is very useful for sussing that out.)

If you do find a copyright violation, please do not decline the draft on that basis. Copyright violations need to be dealt with immediately as they may harm those whose content is being used and expose Wikipedia to potential legal liability. If the draft is substantially a copyvio, and there's no non-infringing version to revert to, please mark the page for speedy deletion right away using . If there is an assertion of permission, please replace the draft article's content with .

Some of the more obvious indicia of a copyvio are use of the first person ("we/our/us..."), phrases like "this site", or apparent artifacts of content written for somewhere else ("top", "go to top", "next page", "click here", use of smartquotes, etc.); inappropriate tone of voice, such as an overly informal tone or a very slanted marketing voice with weasel words; including intellectual property symbols (™,®); and blocks of text being added all at once in a finished form with no misspellings or other errors.

I hope this message finds you well and thanks again you for your efforts in this area. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 02:20, 18 November 2014 (UTC).[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Muhammad Ali Khalid. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article John Barrett (salon), you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

 • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
 • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
 • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
 • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

Deletion discussion about Jamie Smart (author)

Hello, Muhammad Ali Khalid,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Jamie Smart (author) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jamie Smart (author) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for undisclosed paid editing, in direct violation of Wikipedia's Terms of Use.. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text below this notice: .  Yunshui  12:11, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Yunshui. I do not know why I have been blocked. I cannot access the OTRS, can you please tell me the reason why I have been blocked?Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 12:49, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You have been soliciting money for editing Wikipedia, without disclosing this fact on Wikipedia itself. This is a direct violation of the Foundation's Terms of Use. Yunshui  12:51, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
But Yunshui that was about a year ago and I was blocked for that and then it was over.
Your email copied in OTRS is from last week. I'm aware that you cannot view the ticket, however I am sure you are aware of your recent business activities. Yunshui  12:54, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yunshui Can you please share it with me?
Doing so would be a violation of the OTRS policy, so no. I note also that the article for which you were requesting payment is only a few weeks old, so your claim that you have ceased editing for pay is disingenuous to say the least. Yunshui  12:58, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Which article is it Yunshui?Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk)
Again. privacy concerns prevent me from revealing that specific information. How many articles have you requested payment for in the last month or two? If the volume is so great that you don't even know which one I'm referring to, then your paid editing is a more serious concern than I thought. Yunshui  13:01, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yunshui I have not requested anybody any payment for any article. That's why I am asking. Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 13:02, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If you are not prepared to be honest with me, then I have no interest in continuing this discussion. Yunshui  13:03, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yunshui, I am being honest with you.

Yunshui, I have not made the account Gujjar Daw. Please do a check user and that will confirm that I am telling the truth.Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk)
Note to reviewing admin Please see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Vamsiraj: I'm now at least convinced beyond reasonable doubt that User:Gujjar Daw is not, in fact, Muhammad Ali Khalid. Yunshui  19:47, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am requesting unblocking of my account. The unblock guide says that one should first understand the reason why one has been blocked. However, I am just told that I have done paid editing and that my account has been blocked. I don't understand this reason. Someone sent an email in OTRS and my account was blocked. Anybody can send any email. I understand that there are privacy concerns, but I should be allowed to view that email and present my side of the case. This email could be 2 years old when I did paid editing first and was blocked for that. Secondly, User:Gujjar Daw, whose account was closed as being my sock puppet has nothing to do with me. This guy was trying to create the page, Sher Medaan Da, which he had been trying to created since 12 April. And this page is related to User:Vamsiraj who already has several sock puppets. A checkuser would reveal that I have nothing in common with any of his sock puppets.Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 03:58, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Please lodge your appeal using the Unblock Ticket Request System so that the private evidence may be adequately addressed. MER-C 05:16, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hello Salvidrim!, I requested my account to be unblocked through the UTRS, but it was declined with the response that this is my website. However, this is not. Muhammad Ali is the most common name in the Muslim world and this happens to be just another person who works in the same city as I am in. He is a web developer, whereas I was only a writer. I did do paid editing, but I was blocked for that about 15 months ago and then that was that.Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 03:44, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help Needed

Hello Mark Arsten, I need a little help from you. I have been blocked and I believe the block is a result of a misunderstanding. I am writing to you because you blocked me about two years ago for paid editing. If I give you my email address here, can you send that email to me?

The response that I got from the UTRS was am declining your request because it doesn't look like you're being completely honest with us due to your conflict of interest: http://www.muhammadalikhalid.com/search-engine-optimization/ This website is not mine. Muhammad Ali is the most common name in the Muslim world and this happens to be just another person who works in the same city as I am in. He is a web developer, whereas I was only a writer.

Lastly, I do know that posting message here again and again is a violation and I could be blocked for it. But I feel that nobody is listening to me. If you can please review the evidence with me, I will not post here again. Thanks Muhammad Ali Khalid (talk) 11:34, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
