History

T.T. the Bear's originally began in 1973, being regarded as something of a dive bar, located around the corner from its present location. In March 1984 the owner, Bonney Bouley, relocated the venue to 10 Brookline St. and reopening it as as a rock and roll club.[1] For over 30 years, TT's has been a prominent venue within the Boston music scene; it continues to play host to both national touring acts and local bands and 250 nights each year feature live music.[2]

In December 2014 The building was purchased by Joseph and Nabil Sater, owners of the adjacent Middle East restaurant and music venue complex.
