Single
[edit]Can we confirm that this is supposed to be a single? MaJic (talk) 05:03, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
No, we can not, it will most likely be a single from a posthumous album, we can not confirm anything yet. --JDelo93 (talk) 00:35, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- "Most likely"? What makes you say that? Nobody knows if it will ever be released at all. Come to think of it, is this even notable enough for an article?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.191.161.141 (talk) 17:41, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
Not Sampled
[edit]This song does not sample A Horse With No Name it resembles it. That is an easy misconception, a word needs to be used to describe that it sounds similar not that it is sampled. --JDelo93 (talk) 03:26, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
85.145.146.57 (talk) 14:15, 18 October 2009 (UTC)'resembles' ?
Yeah exactly, "Resembles?"
[edit]I think we need to revisit the whole "resembles" concept. The song doesn't sample and doesn't resemble. This is an actual adaptation or cover of the original by America. As a matter of fact Dewey Bunnell who wrote the original is included in the credits. This wouldn't be the case it the song just "resembled" the original. Damien shields puts it in words very accurately, "a lyrically re-written cover of the 1972 hit “A Horse With No Name” by the band America" http://www.damienshields.com/michael-jacksons-a-place-with-no-name-the-story-behind-the-song/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2klodu67 (talk • contribs) 00:58, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Americaog.ogg
[edit]File:Americaog.ogg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a non-free use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
