10 Locos?

[edit]

Only 7 locos are listed. What are the other 3? Biscuittin (talk) 19:27, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've added them from another web page that lists the Barry 10. But that list has 11 locos in it! This page says that tbey "are in fact 11", continuing on to indicate that the "11th loco (Small Prairie) was gifted to the town of Barry by Dai Woodham". I'm not sure which one that is - sounds like it might be one of 5538/5539? Noel (talk) 18:30, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ah. This news story says it's 5538 that's the odd man out. Noel (talk) 18:57, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Research note

[edit]

There's a 'project page' at the GWR County class "County of Glamorgan" 'new build' (well, the loco will be new, but most of the parts will be old :-) which shows that that's the loco that's getting 7927's frames and 48518's boiler. Noel (talk) 13:28, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Also some useful clues in this thread and this thread on NatPres. Noel (talk) 12:33, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
