Nautical cargo handling gear

[edit]

What is missing here, and as far as I can tell in all other articles, is a description of shipboard cranes. Mainly I'm thinking of loading booms and other cargo handling gear attached to a mast, as was standard on general freight ships before containerization came in the 1960s, as shown in this great old film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PJ4zTvNwwQ Cancun (talk) 10:28, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Broken formatting

[edit]

In viewing the section on Tower Cranes, which is a 4th level subsection, the sections below it (Components, Assembly, etc), which are 5th level subsections, are not properly formatted. It appears Wikipedia uses the same heading format for all headings at and below the 4th level (noting that this may depend on the platform you view it on - this is Firefox on Windows). The lack of distinction of the 5th level headings makes the article confusing to read.

Ideally someone will figure out a way to reformat the entire article, such that it can all be structured with no more than 4 levels of subsections (actually, what would be ideal would be for Wikipedia to correctly format all levels of subsections, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that to happen). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:589:300:C7C0:4CA8:7E8A:E16C:DD82 (talk) 14:37, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@2601:589:300:C7C0:4CA8:7E8A:E16C:DD82 I already added a tag concerning this, hopefully future editors might want to edit it. AsianStuff03 (talk) 13:45, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
