Polara in popular media
[edit]In a Batman episode, Nora Clavicle and the Ladies' Crime Club (Season 3, Episode 19, 18 Jan. 1968), Nora Clavicle's hench-ladies used a blue Dodge Polara as a getaway car after robbing a bank.giggle 11:54, 3 August 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregory.george.lewis (talk • contribs)
Polara by Country
[edit]The article was recently split into three - United States, Brazil, and Argentina, by TheWikiGuardian. There is not enough content for a split (and the Brazil section creates an unsourced article - worth trying to source this in the current article) nor do we typically split out cars by country (and if we do and I'm mistaken, the Polara is not long enough to be split yet.) I've CSD'd the three articles this was split into. I don't think any content was lost, I did check but it's late here. SportingFlyer T·C 15:08, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
Engines
[edit]In 1961 my dad bought a Polara (may have been a 1962 model, judging by the photos in the article). I do remember it had a 361 v8 engine with a Carter AFB carburettor, hot cam and dual exhaust. It also had a three-speed button-controlled Torque-flite transmission. It was really fast. I don’t see that engine or transmission listed in your article. Did my dad get some kind of rare model?98.162.136.248 (talk) 16:27, 30 November 2019 (UTC)
CHP Polara Chrysler Proving Grounds Record
[edit]I'm thinking of removing the newly added part about the Polara holding the top speed record at the Chrysler Test Track because firstly the only place i'm seeing that says that is Allpar which I don't believe is the most reliable of sources, but secondly, and mostly, because I don't believe that track is or has been routinely to the public and other manufacturers to allow the opportunity to break said record. It just doesn't seem reliable or relevant given the source and the circumstances of the track but what do you all think? TKOIII (talk) 21:28, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
