Miyavi's Guitar Style

[edit]

Does anyone have information on Miyavi's unique guitar style? If so, then please tell me or put it in yourself. I think it deserves a place on this article. --ArmesPryein —Preceding undated comment was added at 01:38, 6 December 2008 (UTC).[reply]

My Recent Changes

[edit]

I think I made things more encyclopedic and more in line with Wikipedia's style guide. If anyone has any problems with the changes, please discuss them here first. --Berserk798 17:39, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Koi Kei X

[edit]

Just wanted to mention that "Koi Kei X" might better be removed. I never heard of it and didn't find any other information about it. Other people in different forums don't know this too... We are into this kind of music for a long time so I guess someone of us would have stumbled upon this term if it would really be used ^^°

Anyways, maybe someone can proof that it's an existing term, I'm always willing to learn ;)

I tried to look up something on it a little while ago, and I do believe I came across some information that indicated it was a relatively new term. I'm no expert, though... VZG 05:33, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Korean?

[edit]

Is there any actual confirmation that Miyavi is half-Korean? From what I'd heard, it's only been speculation, and I haven't found any confirmation from Miyavi himself or anyone representing Miyavi that he truly is. It seemed to be speculation based entirely on his appearance, too... VZG 22:17, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- It is only speculation. I'm going to edit that out for now. Any further addition of it should be discussed here. Silvanos 14:37, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why would be surprising news if he is half Korean. It wouldn't be surprising fact if more than half Japanese entertainers are half korean or have Korean blood. In the past so many Koreans migrated to Japan. Like Jews in American Entertainment Industry thier are considerable numbers of Koreans or Half Korean stars using alias Japanese names in Japan Industry. I would not be surprised if he is Half Korean. I mean so what. He rocks only thing I care about. Leave out the bias opinion please. Welcome to real Japan. Historically Japan was founded by Koreans even Japanese Emperor himself announced his Emperor family traces to Korea.

I don't think anyone is saying it's "surprising" here, just that it couldn't be sourced. Now that we have found sources, it's included in the article, because it is good information to know. There's no "bias opinion" in this matter, because one is either Korean or not, and it does not degrade article quality to state such facts. Please sign your comments. --Jacob Talk 20:17, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can tell he is of Korean descent from the appearance of his face as well as his occupation. It is that of a typical Zainichi Korean. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 240D:1A:8AF:4D00:E833:C86E:67CC:C9BB (talk) 06:25, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

He is actually ethnically half korean. There was a printed article about it. It was posted on soompi forums in an article from dec 2005 issue of a37: http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=112&st=760 and actually translated http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=112&st=820 here. Sadly I donnot speak or read Japanese but anyone who can could confirm for us that it does in fact say he is half korean. .--69.222.64.191 17:36, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any version of that page available to the public without registration required? If so, that should be cited as a source. VZG 08:16, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh my bad, I thought soompi pages were public. Would it still count as a source if i upload scans of the article? --69.222.64.191 21:38, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I believe so... VZG 23:58, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Here's your proof: http://www.masakarasu.net/info/little.php. The actual mention of him being part Korean is from an interview that I believe this page once had at some point, however, it's now been removed. He also has a Korean name, Lee Ki Ah.
I'm familiar with the site, but I only remember speculation along the lines of "We believe he may be..." Is there no other source? VZG 05:08, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Check the magazine interview mentioned on that page from Arena37. I'm not sure if that's the one where Miyavi actually states his is Korean or not, but it's worth a try.
Here's a new article with all the info about him being half korean and so forth: http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/art/2007/06/143_5005.html I'm not sure how to work it in myself, and I'm not even logged in (I'm tsukiakari) at the moment, but those of you taking care of this article might want to use that link to replace some of your dead ones. :)

Arena37 December 2005

[edit]
I uploaded the Arena37 dec 2005 magazine scan. They were originally scanned by wing L @ soompi and translated there as well by another member.
part 1part 2part 3 I don't really know what exactly it says, but the translation on soompi says that he states that he is half korean from his father's side. Also, like mentioned above, I did hear his korean name is Lee Ki Ah but I can't find a source for that. Is it in the same arena article as well? --69.216.136.163 05:35, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have a link for the original translation of December 2005 issue of Arena37 (scans of the article are linked in the comment above) that was posted on soompi and translated by user Litha_Metallium Miyavi mentions how he recently discovered his Korean heritage I hope the link works for you! the translation goes as follows (Just a note; the person who translated appears to be a native Spanish speaker so the English is not perfect but the message still gets across):

"Miyavi says that recently he had discover that the parents of his father are (or were (?)) from Corea, and Yun says that his parents are from Corea too, but that he had born in japan, for this reason he (yun) had gone to Corea some years ago and he went to Germany for study, and he talk a bit more about his live."

Now there is more than 1 source citing that, Miyavi himself hasclaimed to be zainichi/have Korean heritage--Jbluex 00:40, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

M.net J-pop Wave August, 28, 2006

[edit]
His Korean name is supposed to be Lee Kwi Ah (이귀아) and his grandparents on his dad's side are supposed to be from Jejudo, Korea. I'm looking for a source for it too, since apparently he not only revealed this info via magazine interviews going back as far as year ago, there's also a tv show of him with him revealing that much as well. If anyone here knows Japanese, they should do a search or confirm what those .jpg's read. Otherwise, till sources have been found I suggest all references to it stay removed.Hijklmnop224 10:14, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Do you know on which tv shows he discussed this subject?--69.216.143.218 05:47, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Miyavi came on as the vj host for M-net's Jpop Wave special (Mnet is a Korean channel or something) that came on August of this year. Supposedly, at some point, someone asks him directly whether it's true his grandparents are Korean, and supposedly he confirmed. If you have an mnet account, you can watch the full episode; otherwise, you can watch one minute of it here: http://player.mnet.com/VODPlayer2/WebVodPlayer.asp?strMediaID=9803&strType=PRG&>
LOL, that video will be the death of me I swear! Took me over 2 hours to view in it's entirety, but still I can't figure out how to save it to my computer and can't find it anywhere else, mmm. Is it the first question? I can make caps of the video since the whole thing is subtitled in Hangul and it can be used as a source. --Jbluex 16:52, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's great! Please take caps of questions and answers. I can read Korean. Or let me know how you were able to view the vid passed the 1 min mark .... I'd be willing to watch the show myself and take caps of everything and post them here...Hijklmnop224 01:02, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You can watch the whole show by refreshing the video once it takes you to the login page and fast fowarding the video to where you left off. It takes forever and is really frustrating. Having an Mnet account doesn't work either because I created one and I need to buy points to watch the video I guess. When I watch the video now, it no longer buffers so I know its stored somewhere on my computer but I can't find it!
Anyway, I made caps of the part where he talks about his grandparent being fron Jejudo. As far as I can tell it's the only part he mentions it. But I can't read Korean so I am transcribing the whole show. I think it'll take me a few days because I type Hangul ridiculously slow. screen cap

Q. 할아버님, 할머님이 한국 태생이라고 들었는데...

M. 할아버지, 할머니가 한국 출신이세요 저는 제주도에 가 본 적은 없는데요
기회가 된다면 꼭 가보고 싶습니다

I don't know what he says but he mention his grandparents and Jejudo so hopefully you can translate. --Jbluex 19:35, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The screencap is definitive confirmation, as far as I'm concerned.
The question: Q. 할아버님, 할머님이 한국 태생이라고 들었는데...(I've heard that your grandfather and grandmother are from Korea...)
Miyavi: 할아버지, 할머니가 한국 출신이세요 저는 제주도에 가 본 적은 없는데요
기회가 된다면 꼭 가보고 싶습니다 (Grandfather and grandmother are of Korean stock. I've never been to Jeju before but if I get the chance I'd like to...)
So it's unreasonable to doubt it now. If he mentions this on a videotaped show personally, then all the other things that were mentioned (about Rock Read and Arena magazine) are likely true. Thanks for the cap and investegative work...If anyone still doesn't believe it they can always take the Korean text here and copy-paste into a freetranslator here...http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en Hijklmnop224 20:29, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, there's actually more sources cited here to support that he's half Korean than anything else on his wiki page. I uploaded the video to youtube with subtitles and credited you for the translation, Thank you. Now everyone can watch from Miyavi's own mouth that his grandparents are from Korea. Rock and Read: Vol.004

[edit]
As far as his Korean surname being "Lee" and his paternal grandparents hailing from Jejudo, Korea, from what I have googled he revealed this in a Rock and Read Vol.004 interview. I have not found any direct translations of this interview. I have found scans of this magazine but none of the scans I have managed to find contain an interview. I just want to confirm that this is the issue where he discusses his Korean heritage. I am willing to buy it and scan it I just don't want to buy the wrong magazine. --Jbluex 22:08, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Eventhough I did not find a scan of the actual article I found a translation of this article posted on xanga by user bobdasqrl723 Translated from Rock and Read Magazine Vol.004: Miyavi half Japanese and Korean also cited on Asia's finest forums by user MinaNY and jref forums by user hontonidesu goes as follows:

"Here he shares his personal history. Starting with a surprising word: 3rd generation zainichi (Korean-Japanese)...
Interviewer: You were born in Hyogo (兵庫)?
Miyavi: Today I want to talk about my past before I was born.
I: Then about your parents?
M: Yes, this is the first time I am mentioning, I am 3rd generation zainichi (Korean-Japanese). Looking at the bloodline, I am mixed. My father's side, grandfather and grandmother are from Jejo island, which is famous for tourist site. They were living their until they came to Japan.
I: Did you know this truth when you were little?
M: No, at first the questions brought up, but I forgot. But you know when relatives get married. My father had 8 siblings. And he is the first son, so he always had to attend wedding ceremonies. I remember when I went with him to the wedding, at the front door the last names were written in big letters. When I saw it, one side was written "Lee"(李家) and the other side had "Kim"(金家). So even though I was little, (laughs) I knew those last names weren't much seen in Japan. And when I was little, I used to eat jijime(Korean food? I don't know) and see jogori (Korean traditional dress). Although I didn't know much when I was little, I knew I was alittle different.
I: So even though you were born and raised in Japan, you felt your surrounding wasn't quite Japan you are saying?
M: Yes, I felt it. I recently found out that my family's last name is Lee (李). There is Bruce Lee (different chinese/kanji character), so I thought it was okay to have Lee as last name (laughs). My grandfather and grandmother lived in Jurubashi(鶴橋). I was born in Nisikujo (西九条).

GMV Magazine: August 2004 Issue

[edit]

It goes on further to say that he also mentioned in a 2004 issue of the Korean magazine GMV:

"I am mixed, but I don't think that's important. What's the point of thinking about it? When I am writing music, I think about what's important to me. I know history/background is important, but there are more important things. I want to show/express good sides from both Japan and Korea."

I hope those are good enough sources! I will also post some sources for the Arena Interview as I find them.--Jbluex 02:15, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-Found more from this source. The whole article is transcribed here @ def0021's naver blog and the second to the last question is where they ask if the rumors are true, that he is Korean.

I had someone translate it for me and they translated as follows:

I:"When a Japanese entertainer becomes popular in Korea, there's a rumour that they have Korean blood. Miyavi, you have also become popular in Korea and so these rumours have been going round, have you heard of these rumours before?"

Miyavi: "I'm not sure which side I'm on, but I'm half Korean (laugh). However, I don't think that's important. What good is it to pay too much attention to that? When I write music I think about what is important. Although personal history is important, I take on what I need and forget what should be forgotten. I want to keep expressing Japan's good points and Korea's good points."

A bit of inaccuracy

[edit]

Toshiya from Dir en Grey is not a guitarist, he's a bassist. And the magazines mentioned are not magazines that have models, they are music magazines that feature interviews and live reports from bands and artists, such is the case with Miyavi. He has however modelled in the past for the Gothic & Lolita Bible for different designers. And the convention he was supposed to appear at was Pacific Media Expo in 2004. It is not an anime convention, it is a convention focused on Asian pop culture in general.Dix Princesse 14:26, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Genre

[edit]

I added Industrial Metal since his music sounds much harder and more...electronic than just normal J-Rock. If that's incorrect, take it out. 71.39.246.1 23:46, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Source for the Las Vegas performance

[edit]

Would [[1]] be considered as a source? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chibified (talkcontribs)

Blogs do not make good sources, no. Sorry. Nique talk 00:29, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
if you actually bothered to read the source you would see it is a good one! It's merely direct translations of Miyavi's own journal. It is indeed a good source! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.216.104.140 (talk) 11:50, 10 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]
Doesn't look like a translation to me. It looks like some fangirl's blog about going to the concert. Blogs generally don't make very good sources, except in a very few special circumstances. Nique talk 13:20, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have added a few more sources to confirm that Miyavi did indeed perform in Las Vegas. [[2]] is a direct translation of Miyavi's diary stating that he would be in Las Vegas. [[3]] is a promotion, including an official flyer, for the event. Miyavi has the same flyer displayed on his official myspace: [[4]]. Namiie 20:28, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Source for future Los Angeles performance

[edit]

Yoshiki has stated on his blog (I cannot make it a link because it is blocked from doing so, but you can look it up yourself) that Miyavi is going to be one of nine bands appearing at the Wiltern Theatre on May 25 and 26. The problem is I cannot use Yoshiki's blog as a source, since Myspace is blocked. If I added a different source that quoted what he said, it could be considered not a good source. Any suggestions on what to do? Ismene 23:01, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ishihara Takamasa?

[edit]

I've read in various places that Miyavi's true, given name at birth is Ishihara Takamasa (last name Ishihara, first name Takamasa). The kanji for "miyavi" is also the kanji for "masa", so it seems plausible. I'd like to include this in the article, but I'm not sure about the sources...it's mostly been (widespread) fan speculation--forums and such. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Namiie (talkcontribs) 20:19, 29 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

The French Wikipedia states that as his real name, but I'd say unless there is a source that's really dependable that says so, we should leave it out... Then again, the Hyde article states what his name is rumored to be in the trivia section, so maybe we could do something like that. Ismene 20:38, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It smacks of original research to me. And the mention on Hyde's page should be removed too. Consistency with the rules is nice. Nique talk 01:42, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No mention of a first name so far, but Miyavi has said that his last name is Ishihara (he mentioned it in the December 2005 issue of Arena37°C magazine). I can't seem to locate the article online--would a scan suffice? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Namiie (talkcontribs) 06:54, 3 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]
He mentions his last name in an old issue of FOOL'S MATE some years ago as well. He used it when remarking about how when he came to America just for a visit, no one really knew who he was so he wasn't "Miyavi" so much as he was a regular person. (If I remember correctly, his exact words were "Tada no Ishihara kun"). I can't remember the exact issue number, but it was the issue that sported the Freedom Fighters photo shoot pictures.

Miyavi now officially part of Yoshiki/Sugizo/Gackt band

[edit]

It was just announced at the J-rock Revolution concert in LA (May 25) by Yoshiki that Miyavi is indeed the fourth member of the band (which also includes Gackt, Sugizo and Yoshiki himself), so I added that to the article. Anime Expo 2007 has announced that the band will play on June 29: [[5]]. So far that's the only reputable source, but Miyavi will probably make an announcement on his official site soon. If anyone knows of any other legit sources to confirm Miyavi's placement, please add. I left the speculation bit in there, too (mention of his December 2006 comment). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Namiie (talkcontribs)

Actually I found a few more sources and have added them to the article. Now does anyone have an image that is okay to use? Namiie 20:27, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Career section now split into eras

[edit]

I just rehauled the Career section of the article, and split it into the relevant eras of Miyavi's career for better organization. Hope that fits with Wikipedia's style guide...I've seen it done on other artists' pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Namiie (talkcontribs)

Also, to whoever deleted "382" from the "Names" section: please note the newly added citation. Miyavi does go by "382" from time to time, and it's tattooed on his fingers. "3", "8" and "2" can be pronounced "Mi", "ya", and "vi" in Japanese. Namiie 03:38, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the 2 in Japanese is "ji". Around the time of the Oresama film when he started using those numbers, he was also going by the nickname he made for himself "Miyaji" which explains the 2. The 2 does not have a "vi" pronunciation at all.
Oh, thank you for the clarification. Should that be included as a footnote? Namiie 02:20, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Whoever just deleted the fact that Miyavi was 15-years-old when he started playing guitar: please note the newly added citation. He was in fact 15; he told JaME U.S.A. in an interview. Please discuss discrepancies here too before making changes please!! Namiie 21:18, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Miyavi's Birthplace

[edit]

Okay, regarding Miyavi's birthplace, he *was* born on Nishikujo as he mentions in the Rock and Read article, however, Nishikujo is a STREET in Konohana-ku in Osaka City. It's not a city and it's not a prefecture or even a district, so please do not mark his birthplace as "Nishikujo, Japan" because it geographically makes no sense. If you look at Konohana-ku's English website you'll notice that Nishikujo is listed in part of the addresses for many of the locations within the ward such as one of the fire departments. I painstakingly took the kanji from the article and ran it through Google to see where the name came up and it only comes up in pages for Konohana-ku in Osaka City and in reference to the train station that lets out at Nishikujo. For those that have read the Tale of Genji, the "jo" counter should be familiar as it's part of Lady Rokujo's "name" or rather her "nickname" because all of the characters receive their name based on poems associated with them or where they live. In Rokujo's case it's based on the fact that her home was on the 6th street. With landmarks, Nijo Castle also gets its name similarly because it's on the 2nd street.

Changed the main picture of Miyavi

[edit]

I added a different picture of Miyavi that better showed his face, as the original picture did not show his face that well and made his features hard to recognise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Starfuming (talkcontribs) 16:43, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

I removed the image you added because it is unlicensed, and since it is a scan from a copyrighted publication, and not something released as promotional material freely, it should not be added to the page. Promotional photography on his site could be added if any are present, and any flyer material or album covers are also possibilities if a fair use rationale is provided. --Jacob 18:34, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Would a picture from his official myspace be as good as promotional photography from his site?--Merveilles (talk) 08:13, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Neither of these are going to be used in favor of a free-use photo (like we have now). Photos from a MySpace are actually not covered under "fair-use" policies, and those from official sites are also likely to be deleted, as it is not difficult to obtain images of a musical artist for free-use. --Jacob Talk 11:44, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage rumours should be removed until April 5th

[edit]

Miyavi has said himself that gives no comment on the matter until April 5th. This can be read on his official blog. All marriage rumours should be removed until he confirms them himself.

This is a place for facts. Tabloid rubbish has no place on Wikipedia.

It's a fact. The news says they got married it doesn't say "it's assumed they got married" or "rumored to have been married". And beside Sponichi is a tabloid newspaper. ~Moon~~Sunrise~ 19:03, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tabloids say a lot of things. That doesn't make them a fact. Can't we at least leave the part in the personal section that states that Miyavi makes no comment at this time?

Doesn't what the artist says himself pull more weight than an online tabloid? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.171.114.192 (talk) 19:11, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, I meant Sponichi is not a tabloid paper. I've added additional sources that say the same thing and expanded it. If it has been published by a reliable source then it can be posted on Wikipedia and it doesn't matter what the person has to say about it. When Miyavi says whatever he has to say, whether it is true or false, it'll be added into the article. ~Moon~~Sunrise~ 19:38, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe he has Korean roots, but if he doesn't have the Korean passport, he is not Zainichi Korean, he is just an ethnic Korean or Japanese citizen of Korean descent. [edit]

As Miyavi wrote in his blog on his website MYV382TOKYO.com, her name is Lovelie, not AIRI. He wrote,

愛理 (Lovelie/らゔり)

と命名しました。

Which says "So we named her 愛理 (Lovelie/RAVURI)".

It's true that 愛理 is normally pronounced AIRI, however Miyavi wrote the pronunciation after, "Lovelie/らゔり". So らゔり (Ravuri) is her name.--TakenouchiNex (talk) 07:24, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Japanese name kanji don't have a "set" pronunciation. Even though 愛理 is sometimes pronounced Airi, we shouldn't add it to the article as it is original research. See WP:OR. The sources we currently have all state her name is pronouced Labuli/Lovely. I have updated the article to reflect the Labuli pronunciation. Denaar (talk) 16:16, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New Profile Image

[edit]

"Miyavi - Miyavi Live - "

Photo who is older and his style changed, should be replaced with a new one.

Examples being this two from Flickr:

1- http://www.flickr.com/photos/35233389@N08/3428091658/

and

2-- http://www.flickr.com/photos/kyoeric/4015257163/

2(up link)-- Picture/s by "kyo" who have a date and place

Job to do: Maybe will need to "Crop" the image/s in Mic. Office Picture Manager or some other program. --GreyWolfy (talk) 14:36, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, we cannot use either of the two images because they're both copyrighted, whereas the current image was released under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 License, which allows it to be used anywhere as long as the author is attributed. Eugeniu B +1 19:05, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If I understood, anyone who has that photo, if release it under Creative Commons, this photo can be used for example on Wikipedia? And just to tell you, this photo no more exist in Flickr ( click on source ), so this photo I will remove from the article.—Preceding unsigned comment added by GreyWolfy (talkcontribs)
Just because the image is no longer on Flickr does not mean that it should be deleted from this article.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:14, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Current photo

[edit]

Who cares if it's not in the source anymore?? It was released under Creative Commons, and that is something that no one, not even the author, can revert. If it was released under CC, it stays that way. Period. Eugeniu B +1 18:47, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GreyWolfy has been causing problems elsewhere on the project when it comes to articles and content like this. He obviously does not speak English as a primary language and he does not provide adequate reasons to what he is doing.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:13, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
How, for Wikipedia good, you can use something what virtually, don't exist? It was released under CC, but went to be deleted, removed or anything else, what means it doesn't exist, so CC with it. If the uploader deleted his picture, that mean he done it with a meaning, and should be respected. Either way, that mean the information about the picture isn't valid. For misunderstanding (if information about images is not true), who will be guilty? If the picture used in the other, for example, indecent purposes, and more particularly without the "clean" area behind the picture, who will be guilty? This is a biography article, and primary goal is to write it a enough readable, and then add other media files. It is this message of quality of Wikipedia? We are here to create it in its primary purpose, Encyclopedia of Knowledge.--GreyWolfy (talk) 16:31, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, that's not how it works. If an author releases a work under CC 2.0, it stays that way permanently, until of course 70 years after the author dies, when it becomes part of the public domain. And just because the author deleted the image from Flickr doesn't mean he or she doesn't want it to be used anywhere else. Perhaps they are deleting it from Flickr to post it on a personal website to attract attention to their website. Lastly, please be more clear in your comments. I couldn't understand the purpose of the last half of your message. Please clarify on these "misunderstandings" and "indecent purposes". Eugeniu B +1 21:16, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Miyaviuta -Dokusou- has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for reference found no independent WP:RS for this article, no mention of notability, no references, only a single primary source in any other language article, fails WP:N and WP:V

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
