Era changes
[edit]Per MOS:ERA do not change calendar eras to your preferred format. Leave them in the format that the article was originally written in. Canterbury Tail talk 17:01, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- I changed it to AD because it occurred in the West, therefore it wasn’t my “preferred format”. I’ll be reverting your edit, but if you want to converse about it again, please talk about it on the talk page so that there’ll be a record. Raulois (talk) 17:14, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- And I reverted it again. Please read MOS:ERA and MOS:STYLERET, this is the manual of style and is not optional. Leave the era the way it is in the article as it was first written. Where it occurred is irrelevant, CE is used in the west just as AD, neither one has a preference. Again do not change to your preference. If you have an argument to make that one style is preferred over another (and it occurred in the west isn't any kind of argument on it as both are used in the west) then obtain WP:CONSENSUS on the talk page.
