ESA BIC North Rhine-Westphalia
We will boost your space idea - are you ready to launch?
Are you a visionary with a focus on space? Have you been working on your idea in a small team for some time already? Are you about to start your business or did you found your start-up in North Rhine-Westphalia less than 5 years ago?
As part of the ESA space solutions programme, a new ESA Business Incubation Centre for North Rhine-Westphalia managed by EurA AG has been started in 2022. The incubation programme is specially fitted for your space-related business.
Funded by ESA and the MWIKE.NRW Ministry, the team of EurA in Aachen and Herten will boost your ideas until they are ready for series production and commercial use. For a period of maximum two years, we will support you with workshops, technical guidance, a budget of EUR 50,000, and our international network of partners.
After an application process, we will select space-related start-ups (both spin-ins and spin-offs). By joining the incubation programme, your start-up will also gain exclusive access to the ESA network, DLR and other space related stakeholders.
Do not hesitate to arrange an appointment for an initial talk before submitting your application. We are happy to discuss your initial idea with you even if you are still a student or your project is still written in the stars. EurA AG has physical contact points in Aachen and Herten (Ruhr region).
Who can apply?
You have to fulfill the following criteria:
In the process of being founded or
company age < 5 years
Product or service with a space connection
A legal work permit in Germany
Company headquarters located in North Rhine-Westphalia

Don't miss our next application deadline!
10 start-ups will be accommodated in the ESA BIC North Rhine-Westphalia each year. An application for admission to the programme is possible up to 4 times a year.
Next application deadline will be 16 February 2025 at 23:59 CET.
