Playtest ends on May 22nd

+
The Witcher 3 REDkit premiere is right around the corner. On May 21st you’ll be able to download and install the release version of the editor. A day earlier we will disable signups for Playtest.

Don’t worry! You will be able to continue any projects you started on the Playtest version of the editor. In order to help you migrate your progress, the Playtest version of the editor will remain available until May 22nd for everybody who will have already signed up. Your editor settings should load up automatically, but if you’d like to make a backup, they are stored at:
  • <steamLibrary>\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3 REDkit\bin\r4LavaEditor2.ini
  • <steamLibrary>\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3 REDkit\bin\r4LavaEditor2.sessions.ini

Please keep in mind that while The Witcher 3 REDkit is available for free, it can only be claimed on platforms where you own the game. This means that if you participated in the Playtest, but do not own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Steam, you will need to switch over to the store where you own the game. The editor will work exactly the same regardless of where it’s downloaded from.

Thank you for participating in the Playtest! Thanks to your feedback and reports we’ve been able to bring multiple improvements to The Witcher 3 REDkit!
