Question about deleting now vs wait for at take down notice
Hi! All wikiprojects are driven by volunteers. So what do we do when there are more work than users can handle?
I have been trying to eliminate non-licensed files and orphan non-free files across wikis for years but sometimes it is hard to find users that can spend time deleting files.
So I made a request on meta asking if global admins or stewards could help (the 2 wikis were just examples - there are other wikis with files that should be deleted). It was closed as not done probably because it is outside usual practice.
During the discussion there was a question if we should mass delete or just keep the files untill there is a take down notice. See this discussion.
