IceShattering Blue Scarf Guy
Use elemental sword attacks to freeze enemies and kill them quickly in this 2D Action platformer.
Move with classic WASD movement + Space to jump.
Left click does ice slash, Right click does water slash, doing both on an enemy freeze him.
With "F", you perform a double physical attack that deal a lot of damage on frozen enemies.
Btw you have 30HP, sorry for not implementing this part of the GUI
Your Mission :
You're on a level with enemies. You gain score by killing them, freezing them, doing physical attack on them while they're freezed. Try to get the highest score in the span of your 5 lives !
About the conception :
Inspired by the elemental systems of various games like Divinity : Original Sin II, Genshin Impact or Warframe.
More of a proof of concept than a game or even a demo. Also my learning project for the Godot Engine.
Made in just 4 days for the "Do You Wanna Jam?" because I had to abandon my first idea halfway through due to my own lack of skill in the engine (!).

Really like what you have so far, definitely fits the theme and I like the mechanic of freezing enemies, works as a good strategy to deal with multiple enemies. The combat is satisfying, and I don't know if it's because I've played dark souls but it would be great if there was a dodge mechanic in this.
Initially, I would peck at the enemies only attacking when their backs were turned, but I decided to be a brave boy and fight them head-on, and I like being able to time their attacks whilst also having the challenge of multiple enemies.
But yeah overall I like the art style, movement, and combat. I think the only constructive points I can think of are adding the health in (which you brought up) and maybe changing the color of the numbers that pop up as there were times I couldn't tell if it were me or the enemy that was being damaged. I think other points like enemy types/levels will only come as you develop the game but what you have here already is very good :)
I haven't had time to polish it but let me know what do you think of the base concept ! Although I regret not having been able to release a mmore polished product, discovering and learning to use Godot was a very good experience.
Btw there's a bug that, when it happens (quite rarely to be honest), freezes the player or mobs at the end of their attack animation. :') I'd like to say it's a feature in keeping with the Game Jam theme, but unfortunately it's not.
