I don't even know where to begin. I find NONE of Microsoft's Azure documentation to be useful or helpful. All of it is byzantine and makes copious assumptions about what I'm trying to do that don't apply in the real world. Error messages are worse than useless. My only hope of making things work is to hope that someone else has written up comprehensible instructions on Stack Overflow or some blog.

As an example, right now I was hoping to be able to use the Static Web App feature to host my (existing) static web app. Seems like it ought to be pretty straightforward. But your instructions are all based on elaborate frameworks and VSCode and so on. All I want to do is upload my existing web app files (which are already in an Azure DevOps Repo) and have them hosted as a static web app. No build is needed, just load the damned files and host them. But trying to create a Static Web App generates some kind of broken build process. The error I get is completely unhelpful, "There was an unexpected InternalServerError. Please try again later. x-ms-correlation-request-id: be251905-3824-4cbb-b762-68d2f3a06aa0"

You are Microsoft.

Do. Better.

@chelbergeac - thanks for the feedback

Just wanted to let you know we recently published a new article that shows you how to deploy a static web app directly from the filesystem as opposed to having to use a CI/CD process for publishing.

I am going to #please-close this issue at this time.
