This is a minor release

This release corresponds with the release of ArcGIS Online in Q1 of 2020, as well as the release of Portal 10.8.1.

  • Add dojo configuration for pages to load more than 16 webgl contexts (vector tile layers, for instance)

  • Fix layer visibility for some feature layers on maps created in the 4x Map Viewer beta app on ArcGIS Online

This is a minor release containing some bug fixes

Fixes

• Improve the way a mainstage map acts when using the embed bar
• Make image upload dimensions and file sizes consistent across apps
• Change to asynchronous amd loading in dev mode (to work with updated Dojo in jsapi 3.26)
• Configuring locate action in Builder now correctly switches back to map

This is a very minor release which corresponds to the version in Portal 10.6.1. The only change from the previous 1.14.2 version is that this version does not show the https warning banner in Portal.

You should only use this version if you're reinstalling Map Journal on Portal and need it to be the same version as found on Portal 10.6.1. Otherwise, use the latest release. (Apologies for this being out of order with the 1.15 release here)

This is a minor release containing some enhancements and bug fixes.

Enhancements

  • Map Journal print layout (accessed under the Share dialog) now has the option to print a range of sections instead of the entire story.

Fixes

  • Improve behavior when linking to a specific section in a story with hidden or unpublished sections
  • Some embedded websites that weren't scrolling on iOS should now scroll
  • Due to some accessibility changes in December, some section navigation was causing the main stage to load its content twice, with a flash in between. This should be fixed.
  • Extended font support for Builder

Technical

  • Information about linking to HTTPS content has been added to the Builder
  • Updated to JSAPI 3.24

This is a minor release that contains significant accessibility enhancements and several bug fixes.

Enhancements

  • Authors may enter alternative text for media in the main stage or narrative panel. Alternative text is utilized by assistive technologies and allows the content and function of media to be accessible to readers with disabilities.
  • <h1> and <h2> HTML tags are utilized for the story and section titles, respectively, to provide better narrative structure for readers using assistive technologies.
  • ARIA landmarks have been added to provide better semantic structure improving orientation and navigation for readers using assistive technologies.
  • Keyboard focus can be moved from main stage media elements back to the narrative panel in a consistent way for all media types.
  • Several hidden buttons have been added to improve keyboard navigation. The buttons appear on focus when TAB is used to navigate the story's interactive elements.
  • Several buttons and UI elements have new labels to better identify them to assistive technologies.
  • The gradient fill effect has been removed from the main stage background, and some main stage background colors have been adjusted.
  • Section navigation bar has been simplified for Journals with more than 15 sections.

Fixes

  • Autoplay controls are now visible for Shared Themes that use white as the header background color.
  • Sections with a very long word in the section name can now be deleted.
  • Addressed a video layout issue caused by a change in the Vimeo embeddable player.
  • Several localization issues have been addressed.

Technical

  • Updated to JSAPI 3.23
  • Added Slovenian language support
