We have a lot of people trying to migrate from docker compose to aspire. It would be great to have a guide that explained how some of the concepts translate (or don't translate).

What details can you provide to help write this content. I can work on this Monday, just need to know the gaps that you called attention to.

  • Could you maybe link to existing issues that you're seeing (if any)?
  • Do we have any examples of docker compose being converted to .NET Aspire?

I just did a search in both dotnet/aspire and dotnet/aspire-samples, and found very few references for:

  • compose.yml
  • docker-compose.yml

I see discussions dotnet/aspire#2485, dotnet/aspire#1735, and dotnet/aspire#1137.
