This project is a showcase of the HTML created by the code found on a wonderful repository by Nathan Brixius. For each map, I provided the code with list of locations that I would like to visit, and it handled everything else.

This is a fifty-state survey on open data portals, who has them, and how they're rated. Emphasis is on Kentucky and was the origin of a Kentucky Open Data bill.

Kentucky, like many states, maintains a historical marker database(KHMD). Scraping the database yielded 2226 total markers which were plotted to the center of the county located.

Original archival sources from the University of Kentucky Nunn Center for Oral History "Appalachia: Women of Coal" Collection & the 1996 Women of Coal primary oral history reader.
