Scattered Ashes

Our ancestors once lived among the stars.

Their vast empires were beacons of light, brimming with technological and magical wonders, the likes of which had not been seen before, nor since. Then, as most things do, these great empires fell apart until there was nothing left behind aside from the ashes of their bright flames. These once-mighty cities now float through space, empty shells holding only memories and regrets.

Those of us that remain of these civilizations are now scattered, scavengers and opportunists that dig through the ashes of the past in search of embers of hope. These ruins are dangerous, however. Smoldering coals of ancient power refuse to die out, and they do not take kindly to being disturbed.

Scattered Ashes is a game about small glimmers of hope in an empty world. The places the players visit have long since been left to the slow erosion of time, secrets buried deep in the ruins of what was. The players will assume the role of scavvers and delve into these ruins in search of Ashes, small pieces of technology from the past, while contending with dangerous environments, other scavvers and factions seeking the same Ashes, and Embers, the still active machines of old guarding the remains of the once mighty empires that created them.
