Let's Create Something

I consider myself to be a fairly creative person. I do not know if many people consider programming to be creative, but that is probably because the majority of the work is unseen below the surface, like an iceberg¹. Even if a lot of programming is similar, I consider it a creative process to come up with the right solution and put it together elegantly. Also, like Kroc Camen says, “Code is art.”

I probably do not do it often enough, but I like to stretch my creativity in other areas, too. Last year I learned about 30 Days of Creativity² after it had passed. They later had a one-day version called 30 Minutes of Creativity that I participated in. I created this based on one of my favorite Jimmy Eat World songs, “23.”

June approacheth — and with it the 2012 30 Days of Creativity. The idea is simple: create something (anything) every day for 30 days. I'm going for it! I may not post everything here, but I will try to make weekly roundup posts, at least. Images will go up on my Flickr.
