Lazy Programmers: Think Smarter, Not Harder

Are you tired of making trash pixel art? Well I was tired of it too, so I made an app to make pixel art for me.

Pixel Picasso takes rudimentary artwork and images and converts them into pretty solid looking pixel art.

I abandoned this project a while ago, unfortunately. It is rather unfinished and missing some crucial features and functionality, but it doesn't do a terrible job.

Anyway, enjoy!

Features

  • Pixelate any image to a given resolution
  • Swap the colors of your art with a custom palette (using the 'palettes' folder), or use one of the many pre-loaded palettes
  • Add an outline/border to your assets to create contrast against the background of your game
  • Import as many images as you like, with the option to output a string of images as an animated gif
  • Add saturation and smoothing filters to your art before pixelation or palette swaps create crisper results

Nice *0*

Recently I've been making like 3D pixel art and when I need a reference image I can just grab a normal image and stick it in here and bam. 10/10 great tool.
