A downloadable game for Windows
Final Response is an ultra brutal shooter dedicated to players who enjoy gore and visceral combat.
This game is build on Leaden Sky Update 4 engine - the goriest version of LS Demo before it began to focus on other aspects.
Final Response is a game with extremely advanced gore system and basic gameplay elements, but it does include some interessting things like stealth, dynamic lighting, day and night cycle and rain effects.
The game is very brutal, it features many gory mechanics such as surface based wound system, many amputation points for dismemberment, detailed blood spilling, permanent mess, prolonged death animations affected by physics and many more.
The game is made to be dark and edgy, but that's a part of it's charm.

Gameplay (free roam):
Fight your way through hordes of enemies using various tactics:
- shoot explosive barrels near enemies
- destroy walls with explosives
- use stealth to suprise enemies
- shoot lights off with suppressed pistol to become invisible in darkness
- grab your enemies and use them as meat shield
- fuel your powerful demonic abilites by grabbing and torturing enemies
- use slow motion (CTRL button) to gain massive advantage in any encounter
Final Response features 2 gamemodes:
1. Infinite free roam rampage on 4 areas
2. Sandbox ("Response room" is a joke, people from Random Madness will get it)
The game has 3 enemy types total:
- Bandits (couple of variations)
- Wicked (blade arm monster)
- Demented (armed zombie)
And 21 weapon types:
1. Fists
2. Knife
3. Sledgehammer
4. Axe
5. Chain
6. 9mm pistol
7. 45. pistol
8. 44 magnum
9. Bullpup rifle
10. AKM
11. M4
12. Incendiary automatic shotgun
13. Heavy automatic shotgun

- Music replaced with ambients
- Clunky inventory system replaced with better one (using items on pickup)
- AI Companion removed
- New enemy type - Demented
- Title screen changed
- Ballistic face mask for player character
- Kill counter added
Controls:
F1 - open console (type "help" and hit enter to see command list)
A,D - move
W - use doors/stairs
Space - jump
LMB - primary fire
RMB - secondary fire
S - crouch/pick up axe
E - grab enemy/stomp
F - flashlight
G - night vision
Q - last weapon
R - restart sandbox room
CTRL - bullet time
Shift - dash
Z,X - zoom
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, mouse scroll - change weapons (press key few times to choose weapon from group)

Bought the leaden sky official game and final response!!! I relly like the 2D style of the game it's really cool gives a lot of design options for the game and it creates a certian vibe to it. I think the game has a lot of potential and if you dear developer keep it up with both the3D and the 2D versions of the game I would be very happy to keep playing them!!!!!! I just hope you will keep the game alive for future!!!!
Thanks a lot, I plan to develop both games 2D and 3D, my main focus currently goes to 3D but I'm not abandoning any games.
Hopefully both projects will be finished within 2 years and I will keep updating them for as long as possible (as long as they can run on Windows)

Hello, log into your account that you used to buy this game and then you can simply redownload it, if you bought the game with credit card then you must have confirmation in your email. Generally I suggest that you contact itch.io support email directly and tell them about your issue since I'm only developer not distributor and I don't deal with sales so I can't help you here.

No problem, generally I don't stop working on my projects, sometimes I just take longer breaks from them.
Would it be possible for you to make the inventory at the bottom of the screen in the response room optional? Sometimes when aiming down, I accidently click on an inventory item and adding a console command to hide the inventory would prevent that. Just a friendly suggestion. I love this game. It's one of a kind.

It will continue being updated for as long as it can run on Windows, there is no set date for the end of updates.
Updates will include various improvements to gore, gameplay, some new weapons, enemies and levels, I'm currently busy with other projects so it might take time to see more updates on Final Response but they will appear at some point. I think the game can automatically update if you have the itch.io app, but otherwise I'm afraid you will have to download new versions here manually.

This is a very nice sandbox to mess around in, and it's especially worth it considering that the funds go towards supporting the dev. But does anyone have an idea as to how long this game will be receiving updates for?
Hello there, developer here, the updates will be released as long as the game can run on Windows (it's being made using Game Maker 1.4), in practise this means that there is no set end to updates.

It costs money because I put hard work into this game.
Besides it's 5$ (that's a price of hamburger) and by buying games you support developers which means more updates and improvements, community support is especially important when it comes to indie games that don't have gigantic budgets like AAA titles.
I found a glitch with the final breathe animation, after they die the arm gets stuck in the air even if you shoot it.
also sick game, i would love to see more added soon, hostages or something maybe.
