Renowned SaaS and Cloud leader joins the enterprise extended reality (XR) innovator to drive strategic growth and market expansion.

Ismaning, Germany, and Durham, North Carolina – October 1, 2024 – Hololight, the leading specialist in XR streaming solutions for industrial enterprises, is pleased to announce the appointment of Walter Van Uytven as an Independent Director of the Board, effective immediately.

Van Uytven is a technology sector veteran with a proven track record in SaaS and Cloud technologies. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Technology at Alludo, where he spearheaded go-to-market strategies for top brands like Parallels. Prior to that, Van Uytven was CEO of Awingu, a European scale-up specializing in secure unified workspace solutions, which was acquired by KKR for their portfolio company Corel Corporation in 2022.

Van Uytven consistently delivers results by driving innovation and expanding market presence. As Vice President of Cloud at Proximus, he established the company’s cloud division, proving his leadership in cloud solutions. As CEO of Proximus Spear-IT, he managed the group’s IT operations, further demonstrating his expertise. In addition to his executive roles, Van Uytven holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics and an Advanced Management Degree from the Vlerick Business School. He is also a member of the Forbes Global Technology Council, where he stays at the forefront of industry trends.

Van Uytven’s appointment is a decisive move for Hololight as the company continues to expand its enterprise-grade XR streaming platform, Hololight Hub, and strengthen partnerships with key industry players.

The company announced the new Hololight Hub platform and XR app ecosystem earlier this year at the Augmented World Expo in Long Beach, CA. Hololight Hub is the enterprise XR platform for securely hosting, managing, and streaming AR/VR applications to XR devices – in the cloud or from on-premises servers.
