Aladin

Aladin (/əˈlædɪn/; bahasa Arab: علاء الدين, ʻAlāʼ ud-Dīn/ ʻAlāʼ ad-Dīn, IPA: [ʕalaːʔ adˈdiːn], ATU 561, ‘Aladdin') adalah sebuah cerita dongeng yang berasal dari Timur Tengah. Kisah tersebut adalah salah satu cerita dalam Seribu Satu Malam, dan salah satu cerita paling terkenal meskipun bukanlah bagian dari teks Arab asli. Karya tersebut ditambahkan pada kumpulan cerpen pada abad ke-18 oleh Antoine Galland asal Prancis, yang mengambil cerita tersebut dari pembuat cerita Maronit Suriah, Youhenna Diab, yang juga dikenal sebagai Hanna Diyab.^[2]
