Zacpeten

Zacpeten adalah sebuah situs arkeologi Maya dari zaman pra-Kolumbus di Departemen Petén utara di Guatemala. Zacpeten dikenal sebagai salah satu komunitas yang tetap mempertahankan kemerdekaan mereka pada masa-masa awal kekuasaan Spanyol di wilayah Mesoamerika.

Situs ini terletak di sebuah semenanjung di Danau Salpeten di Guatemala utara. Situs ini terbagi menjadi enam daerah yang diberi nama berdasarkan abjad. Kelompok A, B, dan C merupakan daerah upacara yang penting. Kelompok D, E, dan F merupakan tempat tinggal. Permukiman utama di Zacpeten dilengkapi dengan tembok pertahanan dan parit.
