I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Cachet, a Techstars portfolio company that is transforming the insurance industry for the platform economy. With over 15 years of experience in technology, communication, and business development, I lead a team of innovators who are creating human-centric services that empower gig and sharing platforms and their service providers.

Cachet is an ecosystem of services that leverages unique cross-market data on the usage of assets or work schedules of the platform workers. By analyzing this data, we enable businesses like insurance companies to offer more personalized and flexible coverage based on the gig workers’ real work hours. We have a license to sell in over 20 European countries and partner with over 15 insurers and a number of leading platforms. My mission is to apply resilience thinking, disruptive technologies, and behavioral psychology to create positive social impact for the platform economy.

I have gained 25 years of experience across the insurance industry. As a McKinsey partner in consulting, as a BlackRock MD in asset management, and as a regional Allianz CEO. During this time, I have focused on two particularly impactful topics – first, the technical approach to underwrite and assess risks; and second, innovating insurance. On innovation I started by building out Allianz‘ footprint in Africa, across markets and products, to close the protection gap on the continent. And now at CarbonPool, I have been focused on bringing all my cumulated understanding of insurance economics to solving the insurance needs of the most pressing problem of our time: stopping and reversing climate change.
