it was fun to play this game (:

I'm really impressed you were able to make this in 3 days. Absolutely incredible. But also, why?

Developer(+1)

Because.

This game is a delightful romp through my childhood. Being able to accurately portray both the gameplay and feel of such distinctly different games is simply incredible. Perfectly executed throughout all the different styles while tying together a single storyline. Fantastic work by this crew once again.

The game kept crashing immediately after launch. As it turned out, it didn't like me placing it in a folder named "EoSD isn't retro right Retro are games like Br◯ck Br◯◯k, R◯ckm◯n, Do◯◯ and Af◯◯rb◯◯ner".

Anyway, I was very confused and there wasn't nearly enough aliasing (is it even retro if the pixels aren't sawing at your eyes?) but I laughed and am laughing again now. Hehe. I like how catastrophically the b◯lls can multiply in the first game.

I played this first just because of the thumbnail and title. A wonderful rendition of Sanae doing a derpy face while being in disbelief about old game being old. I was already hooked, my guy. I had seen enough, this customer was pleased.

And then I saw the title screen.

It’s almost like you know my weakness is WordArt. JANKY LOW QUALITY WORDART.

This… is perfection. Humanity has peaked. Art has been finished, nothing will replace this. Giving a 5 star rating feels like a disservice to this… masterpiece. This shall forever be remembered as the pinnacle of all human kind, and I’ll treasure it in my mind for another good, uhh, 23 seconds.

anyways the game part of the game’s definitely a mlem mlem/10 good job keep on keepin on

I love me some Mega Man. Managed to beat the boss in one try. Was making it so you could hold the button an intentional design choice?

Developer

Originally no, since I wanted to put in the charge attack but we had no time. Was busy focusing on the boss intro too much

Fantastic game!

My favourite part is the target lock-on and missiles animation in Af◯◯rb◯◯ner. Nailed the retro arcade sci-fi vibe.

The movement in the do◯◯  level is a bit janky and disorienting.

But other than that, How did you make this in just 3 days? This is really good.

Developer

Imitating an already existing game makes it a lot easier. Also balancing the workload equally among the team. With two programmers, we split up and each did 2 of the 4 game portions each.  2d art was mainly needed for the first 3 sections. 4th is mostly simple 3d shapes and terrain generation.

Totally underrated.

I think this is a game with great concept, art and music.

The only sad thing I noticed is how you just wait in a doom-like session for enemies to come (idk I just wandered and found a Yukari's gap)

But yep, it was fun. (Firstly I thought the first minigame was the only one <-- clueless)

Great job!

truly a brilliant entry! to think that a mix of classic games would be this fun! marvelous interpretation of the theme, all the sub-games play well and I encountered no bugs, overall a pleasant experience, and the most unique take on the theme I have seen so far, bravo!
