Nice concept and mechanics even if it was bit easy to get lost. Good job!
I would be glad if you tried and rated my game too!
Interesting concept and very cool implementation of fog of war. It took a long time to find the parts though and without an compass it was easy to wander into the wrong direction sometimes.
Cool game! I loved the sound design of the little critters, it was spooky in the best way possible. I agree with some of the other comments that it was very easy to get lost (which may be part of the point), but maybe having some directional indicator of the direction the ship was in could be helpful.
Overall though, great job!
Really Cool Game, I Only Had The Problem With Finding The Spawn Because I Got Lost ;P
Same!
visually the game is stunning the artstyle is incredible and i like the vibe in it , you did an excellent job overall a well deserved good rating from me!
This is a fun little exploration game. Poking around in the snow is interesting, and it's always exciting to get a piece of equipment I need. The soundscape is excellent--I can usually tell exactly what's happening onscreen just from the sound effects.
Unfortunately, with no compass or map, it is too easy to lose track of the ship's position. This basically dooms the player to a gradual defeat.
I recommend having a stamina meter. There was no reason for me not to be sprinting at all times. Overall solid entry
Next time when you design a game similar to this one focus on;
Enemy Wave Spawn - Avoid spawning too many enemies because the game began to glitch and slow down.
Use of screen space - Around 80% of the screen is blank and not used. In the case of your game design you could zoom in onto the player a bit more (having around 50% or less of the screen dark).
Level Design - Make the level layout smaller in size to have the player not feel they are running in the middle of nowhere forever.
Overall, not a bad use of fog of war element along with the pick and drop mechanics of items.
Nice atmosphere, easy to pick up and play. I think the winning strategy is to get a few turrets to defend the ship (the freezy balls seem to be really effective) and then run around and draw aggro from as many beetles as you can while you search for the ship parts (the first time I didn't do this and my ship got destroyed even though I had a ton of turrets surrounding it). The 'defrosting' of the planet makes it easy to see where you've already been, which helps you in searching for the ship parts, although I think you might want to make them stand out a little more from the ground (I almost missed one at least once).
Really fun game, I enjoyed the base defending elements a lot :)
