This was a really cute experience. The visual look of this is fantastic.

I loved the little shadow creature!

I found myself really wanting to eat the food :)

Developer

Hello! We just uploaded Ver 0.4 which makes the interaction ray less confusing and allows you to grab the Spirit Sparkler with either your left or right hand.

Controls:

  • Left Grip = Teleport or Grip Spirit Sparkler
  • Left Trigger = Next Dialogue (when ray is hitting speech bubble)
  • Right Joystick = Snap Turn
  • Right Grip = Grip Spirit Sparkler

Thank you for playing our game! ヘ(ΘΘ)ヘ

Really cool environment but I too wasnt able to grab the sparkler.
Also the grab action was my teleport input, not sure if thats intended.

Thank you so much for checking out our game! I'm so sorry you weren't able to grab the sparkler, that's such a bummer. (´> ω <`) May I ask what device you used? This was my first time using OpenXR and I still have a lot to learn about making inputs work on different devices.

Sure !
I used a Valve Index, yea its not easy with all the different platforms.

Developer(+1)

Thank you and wow—I just googled Valve Index controllers and they look so cool! I know the entire point of OpenXR is compatibility on various devices but my mind is kind of blown right now that you were able to play it at all. It's pretty exciting! I'll have to try get my hands on one.

I was really into this art! Along with the sound effects, it made me think of Spirited Away. Took me a while to realize I needed to interact with each speech bubble. Tested on Quest 2.

Ohh thank you so much! ♡  (v^-^v)♪

That's a good point about the speech bubbles, we'll try to find a way to make it clearer.

I really liked the art style and the music! I don't know why but on Oculus Quest 1 i can't grab the sparkler

Developer

I'm so sorry you couldn't grab it. ( T o T ) We tested on a Quest 1 so I'm not sure why that happened... But thank you so much for trying! We're glad you could still enjoy our little world.

Nice art! the peacefull music and the eerie vibe make for an amazing mood :)

Tested on occulus rift with 1060 3g

Developer

Aww, thank you so much! (。◠‿◠。) We're really glad you enjoyed it and thank you for letting us know your hardware too, that's super helpful!

Woah the sparkler game is tough! Fun though. You really nailed the vibe as others have said, creepy yet comfy. I want to explore this world more

Developer

Ahhh yes, it ended up harder than we expected too! (*^ヮ^*) We're so glad you enjoyed your time at the festival!

how is this so cozy yet still kinda unsettling lol, i love the artstyle gave me heavy spirited away vibes, but i couldn't do much but teleport around and couldnt grab anything, i'm probably missing something obvious lol but great work either way

Developer

Honestly I don't know how it happens but we always end up making things that feel creepy. (^▽^;)

Did you try talking to the ghost at the Sparkler Store? (Make sure your interaction ray is hitting the speech bubble and then press trigger to progress in the conversation.)

It's very kind of you to leave a comment even though you didn't experience the game part of the game! Thank you ♡

idk how i missed it im so dumb lol, the gameplay is pretty unique, i love how u kept it to 180 just in case someone wanted to play seated, it's pretty chill even though i keep losing lol. great music too, finally figured out i shouldn't hit already lit sparklers but if there were some feedback for that it would've helped. overall great job, i love how these jams bring out unique experiences like this

Absolutely love the aesthetic and art style!! Would love to may be see a scoreboard or timer system in the future so I can keep track of my best runs!

Cannot overstate how much I love the visual flare and setting, massive props for such a unique and cozy scene filled with excellent art!

Hello! Thank you so much for playing our game and for leaving such a wonderful comment! We're so glad you like it~ (*'v`d) And I totally agree... a points system (with prizes!) was in our backlog but we ran out of time. (T-T)
