Did you use any assets? (Say yes even if the assets were premade by you)
Yes, most was made by me during the jam. btw/psa: Each enemy you kill will turn into a new varmint, and each time a varmint dies a skeleton enemy will spawn in its place, if you're struggling try killing the skeleton right in front of you at the start of the game :)

Nice work! Really cool concept, and slick visuals! The difficulty is a little intense at the very beginning, though your tip of killing the first skeleton does help. Unfortunately, the "continue" button didn't seem to work for me, so every time I died I had to exit and re-launch the game to try again. Wouldn't be as big of an issue, if it wasn't for the fact that you die a LOT while figuring the game out, haha! Well done under the time constraints! If you were to keep working on this; a little polish, restart button fix, and designing a difficulty curve would really take this to the next level. Lots to be proud of here, well done!
I really like the use of particles and post processing of the game's visuals - it made everything look really appealing and pleasing to the eyes. The gameplay was pretty fun too and I like the idea of creating more of yourself as you kill the enemies. My only complaint is that it got a little too hard to keep track of all the different versions of yourself and how they were dying because so much was happening on screen. Awesome work!
I repeated more than ten times and played more things. After the enemy dies, it will become his own life, right? Great idea. Don't lose heart because of this. Come on, you did a good job
I'm glad you liked it! I can't wait to share with everyone the updated version when it's ready :)
The aesthetics of the game are wonderful, the game has some problems as other people have already commented, I hope you will fix those errors after the jam. Good job!
Thanks :) I've kept working on it and finally have it basically at the state I had planned for this, basically when voting ends I plan to update a webgl version that should actually hopefully be somewhat entertaining to play!
I'll be on the lookout to test the game when you update it.
The pixelart is very good! Also in the main menu / learn menu.
I was looking forward playing it but had some issues.
I die too quickly (almost just after spawning) and the 'Continue' and 'Quit' options are alwains in the screen and not clickable.
Totally, as I mentioned on the game's page I wasn't able to fix those issues in time. First time game and game jam problems 😅 thanks for the kind words and for checking it out!
My bad, didn't saw your comment in the game's page.
It's really good for a first game. :)
Sending it to a jam also adds new problems, I also had a few with my game.
Its pretty difficult haha! great submission, love the style!
The game is kinda difficult but I liked everything else about it , thank you for your submission!
Liked the intro and looked fun, but like the rest I got slammed and also in the heat of trying to be awesome accidentally clicked the handy quit button. I went back but did not do much better and decided to call it a day.
Visual appeal was there - not that in game I had much time to take it in lol
appreciate the kind words and thanks for checking it out! sorry it's so difficult, I wish I could've made it a smoother introduction but you gotta learn time management by failing sometimes :) i do think if you can survive and kill a few skeletons you should be able to clear the map but I think the "if you can survive" part is much harder than i ever wanted to deliver
This was super hard to play in terms of difficulty, but I think you did a great job with the menus and overall ui in the game. I also like the art. Nice work!
I really liked the art! The game was super hard lol. But I did have to close the game to restart which was kind of a hassle. Great job on this though!
Thanks for checking it out and I'm glad you liked it! Really wish I had gotten a reset in in time, definitely spent too much time animating different enemy variants 🤦♀️
The game looks really fun, I like bullet hell type of game. I just couldn’t handle the (super) high difficulty, I didn’t last 15s lol ! Unlucky you didn’t put a restart button or something, it would have been much easier to try more. Good job overall !
Thanks! Yeah I really wish I had done better with time management. I'm curious, did you see the tip I put on the game page about trying to kill a skeleton right away? Obviously as the world's most experienced player at this game I'm not the best judge of how difficult it is, though very truthfully the enemy layout was just which prefabs happened to be on screen for testing purposes. at least I made the "quit" button is so easy to find!😆
No, I might have missed the tip! So sorry if I didn’t read the game properly! Yehhh, I saw the quit button lol!! :D
The game looks really good and the idea is really fun. The difficulty is a little too high but other than that great work
Thanks :) I added a little tip to my game's page to help people get started, though ultimately it is definitely way harder than I wanted to start people off with.
I like the pixel art and the game felt good to control, but I found it started off at a really high difficulty and I tended to die very quickly before I had a chance to enjoy the game. Overall a pretty good game for three days though.
Thanks! Lost a lot of time to some bugs that should've been used to put in a game loop that actually ramps up, glad you liked what you saw at least :)
Hey! I played the fixed version in good faith :) Good work!
