This is a very interesting game. I like the idea of killing enemies by basically slinging asteroids at them. Very difficult to pull off but I like the idea. Also, the humor in the game (at the game over screen) is good

My criticism would be regarding 2 things

1. The boss feels a bit over-powered. As soon as you get in range of its attack, you will get hit (from my experience at least).

There's only 1 generator that powers the gun turrets (from what I've seen). Maybe adding 2 more in different locations would be better? Also, maybe create different varieties for turrets, like laser or missile turrets

Overall, I had so much fun playing this. Nicely done

Yep, I have added the towers part later in the process and managed to make something what could be considered a proof of concept :-) I planned these dumb towers, automatic targeting towers, beam towers, rocket towers. They even sould have their own "battery capacity" so for a while they could work without source, and there should be a small "batteries"/portable cores with limited capacity which could be recharged near the main core to make it more tower defense on larger scale. Thanks for playing :-)

A very tricky and creative game!

Took time to get acquainted with, but the unique flavor of gameplay made it worthwhile.

Great game!

Very entertaining short game. Took me several tries to understand everything though.
Very interesting the way the turret works, although I couldn't use it against the boss... cause the turret rotate and start shooting at the energy core generator... and destroy it :(

But manage to defeat the boss throwing him some asteroid and making him collide against the fields of asteroid. It was fun!

Great game! Congratulations!

Great, congratulations to finishing the game :-) There are many ways how to defeat all the enemies. I agree that in the end the turrets arent so much help or are way too much difficul to use. Ill try to work on these problems in the future.

Add some tower/enemy/level variety to this one and I am absolutely SOLD. I loved the idea! And the music left me super hyped, which is always a plus ahah.

The controls were kind of hard on this once, the graphics and all were good! Find y experience below:

Thanks for playing and sharing the expirience, it's very valuable feedback. As it was mentioned before, not all mechanics are explained or explained enough. I've intended the player to learn them through some intro/tutorial/story but at the end got short on time so it ended quite unclear what and how to do.

Submitted(+1)

I like the idea but it was really hard for me to navigate the objects the correct way :D Great job!

An interesting concept, though a decent amount of the mechanics were somewhat hidden, they weren't clearly displayed I guess.  For example the core mechanic, while understandable and definitely simple to figure out, I almost entirely ignored, in place of just trying to smash enemies with asteroids.  Which was somewhat fun, except for the slow turning speed, so I'd recommend making the "boosters" a short limited time use on a cooldown maybe, that BOOSTS you in the direction you're facing.  It would alow for some very quick turns and some more varied dodging.

The tow ray seemed a bit weird, in that when you let go of something it lost almost all of it's momentum.  Which made it very difficult to try and hit enemies with the asteroids etc.  So maybe making it keep it's velocity for a bit longer would help.

As well the fact that the towers themselves don't rotate was a bit annoying, since they seem to react to enemies they can't directly hit.  Which lead to them hitting the player, other towers and the core.  So I would recommend tweaking that AI a bit.  Maybe adding some rotation towards enemies, or making it easier for the player to rotate it.

Wow, really cool and fun to play! I liked the idea of coming up with creative ways to kill the enemies using physics. A very fun game.

I think it could be a little more fast-paced since it takes a while to change the direction of what you are towing. When you miss you have to set up your momentum again, so maybe make it easier to manipulate what you are towing.

But good soundtrack! I was really surprised when the music started.

Developer

Thanks, dificult controlling is a very common point. I'll try to work on some changes after the jam :-)

At first I was like towing the gun for a bit, but when the music started and enemies appeared, the chase began! Pretty fun game, would love to see it expanded some day.

Developer

Thanks, after I watch some more tutorials, I'll try to do it properly a build more on this idea :-)

At first I thought it was a relaxing space game, but then that music kicked in haha... I had fun smashing the enemy ships, not sure I understand what the overall goal of the game is (or is it just to stay alive?)

Developer

Yep, not relaxing at all :-) Goal is to survive all enemies.

So cool! This game had me hooked as all physics games do. Great art and music. But it's a little bit hard. Maybe give the player some sort of defense weapon?

Developer(+1)

Thank you and thank you very much for the gameplay video. Now I can see, why people find it so difficult. The ship has mass and momentum so to control it you need to point the ship not directy to the location you want to go but to adjust the thrust according to current speed and direction. Also the boosters on spacebar are great helpers to maneuver. But yes, definitelly there cloud be a lot of improvements :-)

Submitted(+1)

You should make a prograde and retrograde marker to show the player the direction to point to.

Developer(+1)

Great idea, thanks

Submitted(+1)

Nice game, nice implementation. I found it a little too difficult for me but that's me and not the game. Can't really fault it! nice work!

Developer

Thanks, yes it needs some practice. Ive been training for 7 days :-)

Wow that's really cool. Awesome! Good job

Arts, musics, sounds, gameplay ... awesomee. Its  hard  to control and I liked it.  Really great and so much fun. It was very enjoyable to crash ships against each other and rocks. When I crash two ships I felt like spider-man throwing a taxi to cull obsidian :D

Submitted(+1)

This is really fun, I just spent way too long playing the game. It's really satisfying to throw space junk at enemies.

I love the art style for this game, an interesting mechanic i have not seen before, well done

Submitted(+1)

The art style remind me of Starsector. I just hope I could fight the enemy fleet for real haha, other than that it's good experience.

Submitted

Pretty cool idea! I was confused about how to fighting at the beginning, but after I found out I can use a rock to hit the enemy it becomes so fun! If a player can connect with multiple targets should be more fun!

Developer

Multiple targets was an idea, but in the process I've moved to the towers. Maybe I'll explore it :-)

Submitted(+1)

Awesome game! I liked hitting multiple ships with rock at once haha great job!
