Pretty fun game, the ship controls took some getting used to but the gameplay was great!

Developer

Thank You!

Great work, I like the scanner feature.  I think the ship movement could be a little tighter to control, but you've got a good concept here.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Wow great work, love the arcade music, love the powerful rush of obliterating a whole wave of enemies, even if most of them are phantoms. I was really enjoying that. Just a small note - there started to be huge lag around wave 11 or 12, just for the initial few seconds of spawning. I suspect this could be solved by using object pooling for your enemies? (Let me know if you'd like me to cover it in a devlog but there are plenty of tutorials out there that cover it). But overall, very fun game!

Developer

Hey Sean! Thanks for the feedback!  We actually were using object pooling to save on resources. I think the main cause of the slowdown was we were activating and transforming too many enemies on a single frame. The game could probably have run smoother if we staggered the spawning across a few seconds. Unfortunately we were tweaking the game up until the last few minutes of the jam so we didn't have time to iron out all of the kinks.

UI is great, music is pleasing, gameplay is fun, but not so sure about theme

Developer

Thank you! What did you feel was missing theme-wise?

Cool game! Only concern was that everything was a bit too dark to see.

I rated your game, it would make me happy if you play and rate my game as well :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I'll be sure to try out your game!

Game was fun, I got a bit confused at how the enemies worked but I figured it out towards the end haha. Is there a final wave or does it just keep continuing?

Developer

Glad you liked it! No the waves just keep coming. If we had more time we probably would have added in more ship types, weapons, and boss encounters to play around with.

That was pretty good! I liked it a lot!

Thank you! Glad you liked it!

I really like the sfx and the enemie movement in this game but i would have loved it better if i could move the player myself.

overall an excellent game good job!.

Developer

Thanks! You should be able to move the player using the keyboard or mouse. Did either system work for you?

Great graphics and sound, the gameplay was fun with a perfect difficulty balance. Good job!

Developer

Thank you! Glad you liked it!

Loved the assets and sfx. The AI behaviour was very well polished too, because you were not constantly followed by the enemy ships. The minimap was also a good great addition to find the remaining enemy ships.

Developer

Thanks! Glad the minimap helped!

The sound work is very nice, it really works well with the graphics. You could have worked more on the theme part, but other than that, really great job!

I would love to have you playing mine too, if you don't mind of course! ^_^

Developer

Thanks. Will be sure to play your game. What did you feel was missing theme wise?

Very Cool Game! The Game crashed after a while. But thats all. Very Cool!

Thanks! Yeah we were pushing the rendering capabilities of WebGL a bit. We increased the max number of ships prior to releasing the game in the hopes that things would hold up but we didn't have enough time to work out exactly where to cap the ship numbers along with the other effects that were happening on screen.
