Innovative platformer! Not often words that go together. :-) I really enjoyed the bullet dodging boss fight, kind of reminded me of a side scrolling shooter, and/or gameplay you might find in Gradius or Raiden. Anyway, definitely fun! I agree with some of the comments below that gravity on the jump feels a bit strong. Then unfortunately, just as I was getting into it I got stuck here (see image) Despite the handy in-game instructions, I couldn't get up to that ledge. Probably just me.

Yea that part is quite strict … you may need to press W+A simultaneously while dashing with K. Also, you need to jump “lefter” than the instruction.

If we got slight more time definitely we will fix this part, the game actually starts when you get out of that room. Anyway, thank you for playing!

We wish we got more time to polish them all, but already its 7 days! We will tune the volume and invincible frames (we do have them now, but might be too short) before releasing the post-jam version. Cheers!

Such a beautiful game! But I think there are some things that can be changed a little bit.

Dash mechanic seems little stiff and for me is a little too short. Especially when dashing upwards. Maybe the idea was not to dash vertically through platforms and I understand that but for projectiles it's too short. Another thing is the lack of grace period after being hit. Most times when Tiana boss (i hope I got i right) does a bullet hell attack 5 frames of being invulnerable after being hit would be enough make this attack not frustrating. But overall it's solid and juicy in some situations :)

In fact, we forgot to modify the collider of horizontal platforms lol (tho dashing through them is not mandatory).
Both players do have some invulnerable frames, but perhaps that is too short (after recovering from knockback).

Constructive feedback:

(i only played the game for about 5 minutes so that might explain why i am confused)

I didn't really understand what to do, I couldn't shoot when I was the white person. It was confusing

My finger kept sliping off of the j and k keys and went to the k and l keys. idk why might just be me.

After you completed a section you should make it more clear where the player has to go.

Thanks for your feedback! When you become the white ghost, you are supposed to run backward, all the way to the entrance. (you cannot shoot when you become the ghost.)

We should have made it clearer. As for now, after falling down to the cave, the only thing you can do is to go up, then immediately you will see a new path. so that’s it.

As for the key mapping issues, K might not be the best key to map as also pointed out by others. Nevertheless, we hope you can give it another try and, hopefully, enjoy it. Again, thank you for your feedback!

It was fun the boss was hard was unable to beat that ghost I kept trying lol.

It felt so polished and nice and I liked how the character had weight but was still floaty though the dash felt a bit short

Neat ideas, cute art, and the animations were really nice as well!  Good choice of sound for the shooting.  

There is a lot to like here, but there is just something about the movement that feels "off" to me.  I have a really hard time describing it - but partly it's the dash feeling too "short" and the general weight of the player movement is a bit too high.  Mapping dash to "k" also felt a bit awkward.    This is all rather subjective criticism however, and I think the overall package for this game is great!  Awesome work!

Indeed, the dash is quite short, otherwise, the ghost can bypass too many walls which will break the level.
Perhaps we can use some kind of deacceleration or something to add more weight to the controls (if weight is the correct word). I somehow feel it will work after trying other entries which also have dashes.

I loved that the twist was that we become the boss enemy and have to fight against our previous player. What a great use of the theme! Very well done on this one :)

That boss sure is hard! it would be nice if the pink ghost only attacked if you showed hostility.

The orange one when you press K. It is quite hard to find out the trick xD
