I really liked the concept and the hand-drawn art on this! I had fun throwing disasters around, and causing calculated havoc was cool.
I did win in the first round though, (second hand, 3 earthquakes, fireball, and 2 training cards), so I would have liked a bit more balancing because I feel like you are too powerful at the current time. (Specially the black hole, that thing alone without the training is devastating).
But this was really fun nonetheless, great job!
Thank you! The game is pretty unbalanced therefore winning in the first round is possible. Also you receive the black hole when you win the game as a reward… I might work on the balancing after the game jam is over.
Ohh! Alright! I thought the "you get a new card" after winning meant a new card slot, or something along those lines. (Winning a new type of card makes more sense, considering max number of cards was never something relevant).
If you do end up choosing to balance afterwards, I wish you luck :D!
The visual style looks great and despite saying you might have over scoped it. I actually really liked this game a lot. The card deck together with using cards was very straightforward and the animations were excellent. I liked how there were many different kinds of effects. Really nice job on this game, it's really fun to play!

Nice game! I loved the visual effects a lot. The strategy aspect felt a little overwhelming with that block of text in the beginning, but I know there's no time for tutorials in game jams. Nicely done!

I like how we play the side of the storm this time haha neat concept and cool artstyle!
The fact that the fire and all kept burning through the turns was a nice touch. It would have been even cooler if it were possible to combine attacks (or maybe it is and I just missed it).
Also at some point I got 4 cards, 3 of them were the draw 2 cards, it was a bit underwhelming...
Other than that, really cool game, I would love to play more (especially a version with more cards!)
You can actually use the “draw 2 cards” cards to scale effects. Because for each card that doesn’t fit on your hand the next effect will be executed once more. I might update this game after the Jam is over and maybe add something like deck building and other features. Thank you for playing!

Interesting concept. The game feel could use more work. I can see why they introduce energy per turn so you can’t just play all your cards but nice job with balancing when you can play them all per turn.
