How does your game fit the theme?
The player is put in an environment that at first glance seems peaceful but is later revealed to only be a calm period before a literal storm ensues.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, except certain sound effects and the images used for model textures.

Loved the ambiance and the jump scare! For a first game this is impressive. Was a little lost at first. Check out my game I think you'd enjoy it.
This game is fantastic!
The ambiance at night was really cool, i liked all the particles, very moody. I was a bit confuse as what to do at first on this big empty island, but when i found the trap things got clearer ! i liked it overall, well done :) keep up the good work
Neat little game, what engine did you guys use?
Thank you very much. We used Unity!
I was quite scared at night LOL I like where you guys were going on this. I think a faster day night cycle, and maybe some visual and sound queues for the monster would be good. The art was cool and the sounds carried things well. Keep on making games!
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it!
A lovely little game with a particularly coherent aesthetic for something done in such a short time. I loved the eeryness of the music, and while maybe not intentional - and outside of the horror steer the night brings, the particles that are suspended in the air give the initial island a real feeling of being trapped in time, which is quite creepy.
Thank you very much! I'm not sure what I was going for with the particles, but I like how it turned out, glad you noticed!
This game is absolutely fantastic! The level of detail and creativity is outstanding, making it a truly memorable experience.
Can't believe the similarity in the concept of our submissions!
For a first project, on the technical side, it's pretty sweet, with the sound effects for walking on water and the cool note on the boat-wreck.
The biggest draw-backs are the slowliness and emptiness of the map, and lack of guidance (must show the controls at least).
Quite an unusual game in a good way with unique low poly graphics. It seemed to me that it was difficult to navigate, but in general the game is interesting, the music is suitable and the theme is conveyed very well. Well done
Thank you for your feedback and the kind words!
Initial Reactions: This seems fun
I get the shotgun. Okay so i have to shoot something?
I keep wandering and nothing happens ( also maybe add a compass, I got lost even though its only 2 islands i think. I think i kept going back and forth. thinking it a new island)
Storm comes: Okay maybe now somethings gonna happen
This freak sneaks up on me and i get jumpscared. Mini Heart attack!!
Good game but would love :
minimap/compass
time before storm a bit shorter or clear indication of objective
I'm glad you liked our game and we're sure to shorten the time before the storm or add more things to do before it hits.
Aside from making the day time shorter, you can also add an indicator to show how much time players have before night (realistically day slowly turns to night, and you have some gauge of your time left). I personally could only find the trap and the shotgun, and spent most of my time just walking around waiting for night. Maybe you could place more items so it is easier to find, but at the same time buff the monsters accordingly.
Thank you for your suggestions, we do plan to make those and some other tweaks once the jam is done.
Nice art and music, creative gameplay. Enjoyed it <3
We appreciate the feedback!
Hee-ho. Interesting game. Nice idea. Meditation)
Thanks for checking it out!
Cool game. Love the low poly aesthetic with particle effects and the rain. The music and sound design is great too. Could have used a little more direction re: what I'm capable of doing. I didn't know if I was meant to trigger something the first time I played but it turned out I just had to wait a while for night to fall. Overall great effort :)
We're aware that the timer for the night to fall should definitely be shorter! Thank you very much for checking it out!
I really like the idea, although the “day” period seemed a little long. The camera moving back and forth adds tension to the night phase, which enhances the experience, and the art style is nice, adding to the horror atmosphere
We did realize that the day section is missing some more things to do but didn't quite have time to implement it.
Thank you for your comment, we appreciate every bit of feedback we can get.
I really like the art style ! The night part was pretty tense. Idk if i missed anything, but i wish there was more to do. Overall i enjoyed it !
Thank you! We did try our best to make an eerie atmosphere for the storm section, glad you liked it.
A lovely atmosphere in this! If you expand on this would be great to have some more things to explore on the island - also the monster ran straight through the trap haha. In any case, had a lot of fun, also got spooked bad when he finally caught me - thanks for creating this!
Thank you so much for checking it out! Our main focus was to try and make an interesting experience rather than a gameplay loop, and I'm glad you enjoyed our work.
I am still shaking from that jump scare
Please finish this
Thank you very much for checking it out😁.
I really like the PS1 art style, it’s well implemented. I struggled a bit to figure out what to do at first, but I waited until night, and the mix of the storm and the enemies put me on high alert. Well done in that aspect!
Thanks for checking it out! We probably should have done a better job to tell the player what to do specifically.
The audio and visuals of this game are absolutely phenomenal. I think you guys got that nailed down and it was super immersive. My main issue with the game was that either -> the monster didn't spawn soon enough OR there wasn't enough to do. I felt like i was wandering around without finding anything most of the time. For your first game jam though, that was a great job!
Thank you very much, the immersion was pretty much our main goal. We definitely wanted to add more things to find but we were a little lazy and ran out of time😆
