A simple, beautiful game! I like that collecting shells will lengthen the days and pushing your luck to collect them will cause the nights to pass faster. Good work.
Cool art, I like the blue light interaction, the parallax and the scrolling water texture. Wish the gameplay had a bit more
Nice submission
really nice work! the game is intuitive and pretty fun, and i love the art style. the theme was also implemented well, nice game :]
Pretty neat game. Simple gameplay loop and mechanics. The atmosphere is great and really like the music. Blends well with the game.
Some suggestions would be a real aim for the player would be nice. Maybe you could add the aim of uniting with your family while the fishermen catch you or something. I think you get the idea. Also, some particle effects would be nice.
Kudos!!
Pretty cute game. I don't think there's anything bad/different about this game :).Simple and fun.
Hope that you'll also rate mine https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690
Very neat little game, the music during the day creates a great atmosphere! That browser version of this game has been very laggy for me though, it would be nice to have it run abit more smoothly. Still I would give it a solid 8/10
It's a simple concept, but it works. I think having only one life makes it difficult for me haha. Also, maybe a few extra elements as the cycles progress would be super nice.
Still it's a great job!, the art and music work quite well :D
Love the music during day! I like the floating movement in and the boat catching you. A small things is also that is a bit too sudden from the day and night music and change. Nice job!!
Really really cool game mechanics!! I loved the atmosphere and the look of the scary human boats trying to fish you. Definetely delivered on graphics and theme! The only downside is the change between "Calm" and "Storm" is too abrupt. It would be nice to see some fog, see the sun go down, or some visual and audio feedback about the change. Also the death and gameover screen are too abrupt aswell. Other than this you nailed the vibe of the game! Congrats and good luck!!
I like this game's core mechanics' they're executed really cleanly! The items giving you more breathing time between cycles and the fishers icnreasing in numbers creates a pretty fast paced game environment that I find myself enjoying! One minor issue I have is that at night I found it a little tricky to see, other than that though this is a pretty solid experience! Nice work!
That was a very fun and addictive game! Good work!
Hee-ho. Cool game. Anti-fishing nice
the movmenet feels good and nice job with fishing people
Interesting take on the theme, the switch in atmosphere between the calm and storm is incredibly well done. My main suggestion would be adding more threats so that as the game goes on the player has more to worry about, but having the shells reduce the timer was a very creative way to keep the player from hiding in a corner the whole game. Nice job!
I liked how smooth moving the character felt. It could've used some elements as others have said to sort of break up the cycle, or encourage you to go near the enemies and have a chance at dying. Overall, pretty interesting, good work getting a game submitted.
Very beautiful art style. Great atmosphere.
The enemies were easy to dodge by just sitting in the corner. Perhaps add some other dangers? Maybe a trawler that has a net.
There's really good use of light and sound to differentiate between day and night sections. Definitely has that panic moment when you first play and it shifts to night. I think design-wise, it could have used some more elements to prevent the game from getting repetitive after a couple of cycles. Nice job!
Cute! Super smooth. I like the fishing ships idea and sound design. Keep it up!
I liked your artstyle I thought it was pretty charming. It reminded me of those old fish games where you keep eating other fish and grow your size, I would have loved to see a feature like that just to spice things up a bit.
Otherwise pretty solid submission :D
I love the Atmosphere and the art
