Such a well-executed concept! It's also really impressive you did everything yourself. Love it!

Finished the game.. The puzzles were pretty hard but satisfying once figured out. The art was also crazy (The jiggles of the cakes :D) Great supporting music. No suggestions from my side.

Kudos!! Good game...

Wow! So a great animation during the game and art style!!!

Art style is so nice to look at. Puzzles were a lot of fun! I spent a good amount of time trying to solve a couple of them.

Fun puzzles and stellar art. Cute sfx and pretty nice easygoing score. I would've liked to have seen the player character and more of the world at the end but the amount of art in this is already insane for a solo dev. I think my only real criticism is that this is basically all calm and no storm which it is "calm before the storm" so the storm doesn't have to happen in the gameplay but you kinda want there to be more of an implication of storm. Like hungry customers outside, when the door opens at the end a big crowd sfx would've probably been the easiest way to imply that. Great job!

This game is one of the prettiest I have played in the jam. The art is gorgeous and the atmosphere is so cosy, from a gameplay side as well the feed back on the puzzles on what you had right and wrong was cleverly done allowing plenty of trial and error with different solutions. Amazing work!

Awesome game. The animations were so cool and the puzzles were great too. My only complaint is that the last one was too easy :D

Edit: What tool did you use to create the art?

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Haha, that's a complaint I can live with ;)

I'm glad that you enjoyed the game.

For the art, I actually use a tool I've developed myself.
It's a very rudimentary painting application, but it's well suited to the way I like to work.

The tool hardly has any fatures. There's undo, but no redo; there are no brushes, and it only supports flat colors, no shading.
It's also very difficult to draw small details or straight lines :P

However, I've realized that I find the limitations freeing. They allow me to work quickly and not get stuck on details. I just have colors and rough shapes to worry about.

There's also support for flipbook animations, which I used for the character and for the animation of the bird. Again, there are no fancy features, all I can do is flip between the frames. But I feel like that is enough to create what I need.

Here's a screenshot, if you're curious

My tool is cryptic and janky enough that I don't think it would be useful to anyone but me. However, if you're looking for a cool (and actually useful) painting app, check out Heavypaint https://www.heavypoly.com/heavypaint-2

Seeing Vaughan developing Heavypaint is what inspired me to make my own tool. I think there is a lot to explore outside of the mainstream painting applications, and I believe that anyone that can make a game probably could make their own art tools, with their own quirks and character.

It is impressive that you developed your own drawing tool.  Such a cool way to add a unique character to your art. Thanks for sharing.

I gave you 5 stars on design. Clearly you are a designer. This is defnitly a game and deserves more ratings. I did not went too far but seeing the explanation and the atmosphere i know it deserves. Well done!

This was great! Interesting puzzles combined with an artistic, relaxing vibe. Loved the unique take on the theme as well, the calm before city wakes up and customers come in. The music fit the mood of the game very well, but got a bit repetitive.

a very chill and satisfying game! i love the fact that you put the solutions as well, i was stuck on 9th level for the longest time XD.  the game was great but it was lacking the "Storm" part a bit, but i guess i would understand the game better if i was a barista or cafe owner myself
