no way this is a game jam submission?! really nice work!
Nice game! Maybe you should cut times between events! The rest is very cool!
Hello, I had a ton of fun playing this! Your game is quite captivating and ambitious. I listed all my thoughts below in this post. Hope my feedback is helpful:
[Pros]
[Cons]
Good Game
earthquakes can be very scary, nicely done
The ending made me laugh more than it have should
5/5
This is some AAA game. Excellent graphics, it reminds me of the classic PT even though it's not an horror game. You can easily add some horror elements and make an even greater game.
Cool stuff! Impressed that you build this within the jam time frame.
My feedback for Inside under&Out:
What your game does well:
The game executes the theme in a crafty way. It offered the context to the player in a way that is relatable. A normal day like the rest suddenly gets turned inside out.
The graphics were well put together, and the audio supports the suspense that the first segment builds up. A minor thing I did find odd was that the camera has this filter reminiscent of games on older consoles, but the game's aspect ratio is set to 16:9 on the contrary. (Not a big deal, just something I noticed)
What your game doesn't do well:
Aside from the sign that says C to crouch in the second half, there isn't a lot of guidance on how to interact with things (that or I missed it).
It's also difficult to figure out if something is within interacting range because there's no reticle, flash, or a hint. Things like the mop, the garbage bag blend in with the scenery.
Areas of Opportunity:
Contrary to what has been already said about the game, I actually think the large amount of waiting and doing nothing is an important part of this game setting up the narrative.
I personally wasn't triggered by anything, but it did occur to me while playing that those who have been in earthquake situations might appreciate a trigger warning for it.
A good way to make the controls more obvious would be to give a reticle at the center point of the camera. A text box or a color change to indicate when the player's character is in front of something they can interact with.
I hope this feedback helps!
Impressive graphics and immersion overall. Really great job on that!
As a pretty impatient player (my bad, sorry), I felt the beginning was really slow, new customers take a lot of time to enter the shop. Player speed felt also too slow in my taste.
Congrats!!!
more like outside in
That's extremely impressive for a 7-day job. I thought it was a bit slow and I would have liked the parts where you have to wait to be shorter. Also, I would have liked there to be a checkpoint just before the platforming part. But overall the game is excellent and I can see it getting one of the top spots in the jam.
F the boss man all this parkour for THAT?
Jokes asides, impressive work. Art and level design are incredible for a jam, audio is well implemented (albeit earthquake sounds are too directional but I won't hold it against you), and the game really is unique compared to the other entries.
I had a lot of moments when I didn't know what I could do, like at the post earthquake part and at the start of the game (couldn't get out of my booth). Pace was also too slow for my liking. And the input method wasn't with physical keys so walking was a pain ith my AZERTY keyboard (I should've switch with a virtual QWERTY layout but thought the game would be shorter and was too lazy to do so).
Congrats for a game that will easily make it to the top 10/ top 5
Hey galatyne,
Thank you so much for this detailed feedback! I've wanted to change so much the day that I left, including the audio for the earthquakes, the sluggishness and some tiny errors. But had no time after the 7th day as I had to leave for a trip to the UK. I'm happy you found it unique and enjoyed the game! I will definitely add a controls screen to my upcoming games and will make sure to update this game as soon as the jam is over. :)
Hey Andy!
That's so kind of you! Thanks, I liked your game too.
Good game, Pretty graphical style and good concept
Hi Jauma! Thank you so much :D
AAA. Opposite of hot garbage.
Hey Beard or Die! Thanks for the rating :) I appreciate it
Really fun game, pretty unique graphical style and as fellow and really really cool cutscenes. Love to my Unreal Gang <3
Hi Oucori! Thank you for rating me. I appreciate it a lot.
"just a little earthquake"

FIRED! haha, thanks for the rating!
Honestly, great job for the short time you had to work on it. The art and atmosphere was great, but the game did feel really slow at times. The theme is a stretch in my opinion, but aside from that, well done!
Hi GoldShots! Yeah It was indeed quite a stretch haha! Just wanted to do something weird and out there. Appreciate the feedback
It's an impressive scope for a 9 day jam, also that you did it in 7 days, well even more impressive. Atmosphere, effects and feel is very good, there's also a little suspense going on. I loved the TV, strong 80/90s feel (also the filter). It doesn't hit the theme in a way that I'd like to see, I think that it's the least strong point IMO, but nevertheless it's a fun experience and the execution is top notch.
Hey Octartis, thanks for the rating and the feedback!
Wonderful looking game. Some more help on controls in the game would be nice. Great job!
Hey Occular! Thanks for the rating. I will definetly do that next time.. completely forgot to also add it ingame
