  • The multi-tile aspect of each crop was interesting, but it feels unrewarding when they all provide one crop. Watering might benefit from being toggled instead of happening once per click. There's no visual indication of a changing day, which I assume is due to time constraints, but will make the game feel much more immersive (night/day, sleeping, fading out/in, associated SFX, etc.)

Cute little environment with a fun idea. The tetris aspect was a nice surprise when I first started planting and I liked the potion making/selling aspect.

I would love to see more  around the tetris puzzly part. The optimizer in me wishes I could actually fill every plot using the shapes. I think being about to see the shape of each arrangement (get it) when buying would also be a nice thing to have.

At some point I did get poor and have the wrong potions for the job due to experimentation. Perhaps a way to help people at the beginning is to make the seeds priced at a discount the first couple times you buy them.  Overall I think there's a lot of potential for the idea and you've laid a lot of great groundwork to build upon!

Really enjoyed playing this one. I did get softlocked out. I had the wrong potions for the quest board and no money.

WOW! What a neat game! I really enjoyed the tetris style gameplay, that was pretty neat.  I really liked the assets and aesthetic a lot, the music was calming and chill. I was a bit lost at first, but I figured it out~

Things I loved:

  • The assets and aesthetic
  • the music
  • The sounds were SOOO Satisfying
  • The tetris-style gameplay is so cool
  • The potion making was a neat feature

Things that I'd love to see:

  • There was a little cognitive dissonance between the shape of the crops and the crops themselves- I wish there were a way to strategize more based on what's available
  • The game loop is solid, but I was a bit at a loss other than just expanding my farm. "Why am I doing what I'm doing" wasn't immediately clear other than just growing more crops.
  • The movement was a bit slippery, so either to transition to a more tight control scheme or allow for controller input would be very very helpful!
  • More feedback for days changing (I thought it was broken so I spammed the button lol) and for potions would be great!

Great work!!

Nice game! Simple yet good-looking graphics, especially I like the looks of plants. Cool planting system and impressive amount of content that you managed to make with the potion system.

Got some feedback if you don't mind:

Would be great if there was more some kind of visual feedback for the player actions, for example slight screen fade when you go to the next day or maybe little animations/particle effects when you interact with world.

Also I managed to get into funny situation when I had some potions and no money and no seeds to continue playing, and there was no orders for that potions I had :) Maybe should have wait more days)

Overall, very good job!

Nice little game! I think it all comes beautifully together. The puzzle-like minigame of arranging crops is a pretty cool idea. I can easily imagine this game with a shop management system, or something like that (as in Shoppe Keep).

The only thing that really got bothering at some point is the watering part. I felt like it was unnecessary and tidious :/

Loved the chill ambiance, the doggo with a hat is great and the "puzzle-farming" was fun, well done ^^

The world looks colorful and well-integrated. The music is pleasant and doesn't outwear its welcome.  I think the choice of making the farmer be a dog is absolutely inspired. I also enjoyed the earth plot Tetris mechanic; that was unexpected but very enjoyable. And I really appreciated the variety of plants and potions.

I would say that, not only is it possible to get soft-locked, but it's very likely to occur on the first playthrough. In a lot of farming games, you begin with a simple cash crop monoculture, sell the crops, and move your way up. In this game, that won't work, because you need a combination of ingredients to make a potion. This would have been clearer if the game gave the player a single potion recipe right at the start.

I would have preferred a little bit more notice (e.g., screen fading to black) when the dog goes to bed. A couple of times I ended up clicking twice, because I didn't realize it worked the first time.

Note that the dog has a strange jittery effect when moving. Also, I was unable to close the shop window without moving to full-screen mode.

Thank you for the feedback! All great suggestions, I'll definitely keep them in mind if I continue development with this game :)

Nice little game with unique planting system. 3D are good looking. I was annoyed with the movement, hard to aim where you for example watering. Dog animation would be great addition.

Developer

Thank you for the input! I've slightly updated the interaction system, would you mind replaying quickly to let me know if it's any better? I feel I may be suffering from "developer blindness," since I've been working on this game for a month I've gotten used to the controls and can't tell if they feel bad haha

Cool game! The idea to make the plants into shapes is really cool!
