How many people worked on this game total?
Only me - it was *really* tough;;
Did you use any existing assets? If so, list them below.
Yes, the main assets I used were from Unity Japan's "Unity-chan" (all free for download)! I also used some assets from the Asset Store, I think I have received them for free at one point or another, including the SICS Games' Toon series assets, InfinityPBR's Flying Eye monster, and studio lab's Modular Medieval Dungeon which was free last month!

I love the name of the game! Very clever. :')
Hello Unity-chan, how nice to see you here!
Ooooh. I love the changing perspective mechanic! Switching between two physically different versions of the same world.
The eyeball enemies are creepy. I love them!
I unfortunately got stuck at the painting. I'm probably just missing a simple interaction somewhere or something. Love what I saw so far though, well done, nice entry! I really like that you included voice acting too.
Vice nice aesthetic
Wow! Absolutely blown away by how much you got done in the time!
Kept expecting the 2D to 3D transition to bug out somehow but it never did, well done on the execution of that!
Great work!
i loved the idea, concept, dialogues and movement of this game.Rated it!
I love how the beginning room looks. The transition from 3D-2D and vice versa looks great. The story is nice and keep me playing through the game. The music fit the game. Wish there was some sound effects. The game run slowly in the web, I wish there were a windows version for download.
The game dialog seems to bug and play again sometime. I got stuck in the final puzzle once, it seems the ghost suddenly lost the ability it has.
Overall, good game.
This a very cute game. The art was really cool. My daughters attention was captivated by the anime style. She loves it. The switching between 2D and 3D was really cool and the pixilation effect was really cool. This is a great little game.
AYAYAYAYA!!!!!!!!
Very well done!
B'aww, thank you so much!! And thank you for playing my little game, I very much appreciate it! ^^
I particularly loved how you handled the switch between 2D and 3D. It needs a bit of polishing, especially around when you can switch. For example, switching in the middle of a dialogue can get buggy. But it's a great effort nonetheless, well done!
Whoa, thank you so much!! Yes, I completely agree with you on the polish aspect, though it was there, once. See, I'm *very* new at game development and had no idea that itch.io has a file size upload limit.. Long story short, I had to remove around 70 percent of the entire project just to get it to upload, thus breaking practically everything in the game (plus my mental sanity, ahaha;;). Unfortunately, the playable result is all I could do with just under 20 hours of trying to re-build the logic to have something at least half-decent.. It really was a heartbreaking thing to happen, but at least now I know;;
Still, thank you so much for playing my little game! I'll try to get the logic working again after the jam ends, hopefully not exceeding the size limit!
Very impressive. Loved the story.
Thank you so much! Yee, I always try to sneak in a bit of story in my games, hehe~ I'm super glad you enjoyed it! And thank you so much for playing, it really means a lot to me! ^^
Hey love the game, especially the ability to switch between 2d and 3d dimension. Good Game!
B'aww, thank you so much! It was my first time really working with 3D, so I was extremely nervous of how the switch between 2D and 3D would play out in our Life in Two Dimensions, ahaha~ ^^a
But I'm really glad you enjoyed my little game - thank you so so much for playing!!
Nice job! Cool mechanics and nice story! I managed to complete the game! 😎
Ahh, thank you so much for playing my little game all the way to the end! I'm super glad you enjoyed the story alongside Unity-chan, hehe~ ^^
This was a nice short experience. I thought the puzzles were intuitive and I didn't have any trouble getting through them. I really liked the beginning like room area, it would've been cool if you could've interacted for more stuff there. Maybe you could've I did click on the plants and there was a line for that so maybe I just missed a bunch of stuff but I ran to the computer and it immediately took me to the main portion of the game. Fun experience :)
Aww, thank you so much!! I'm really glad you enjoyed my small 2D/3D puzzle adventure, haha~ Yeah, there were some small interactables in the beginning + ending rooms, but in hindsight, I could have made those a bit more stand-out-ish, ahaha~ ^^a
But, it means a lot to me that you experienced the world of my little game, thank you so so much!! :D
The transition between dimensions was very impressive!
Thank you! It was my first time really working with 3D so I was suuuuper nervous as to how the transitions would come out, ahaha~ ^^a
But thank you so much for playing my little game!! As a fairly new developer, it really means a lot to me! ^^
We can swap between 2D and 3D! That's something to like about the game.
Yee! We're living our best Life in Two Dimensions, haha~
Thank you for playing my little game! ^^
We had a nice moment with Unity_Chan in her videogame life. Nice work! :)
B'aww, thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed your time adventuring with her, haha~
And a huge thank you for playing my little game! It really means a lot to me! <3
It was good. My only problem would be that ı wasnt able to see shift dimesion instructions before going up the ladder and ı had to look at the description for it so it made it lose the meaning of putting instruction in-game. but other than that it was pretty fun. Loved unity-chan.
Ohshoot, that was not supposed to happen! I looked into it and it turned out to be a bug with the camera upon uploading. Thank you for letting me know about it! And thank you so much for playing my little game! I'm so glad you enjoyed hanging out with Unity-chan, haha~
Loved my moment with unity chan!

Aww, thanks! I'm really glad you enjoyed spending some time with her, hehe~
And yeah, for sure! I'm always up for a good game! ^^
Nice way to tackle the theme! The 2D was a bit janky at times but I made it to the ending.
B'aww, thanks! Yeah, unfortunately I had some really severe issues while uploading to itch. I had to delete about 70 percent of the entire project just to get it to upload, which ultimately broke the game and overcrowded it with bugs (the 2D bits being one of the most noticeable aspects, I'm very sorry about that)! But thanks for bringing it up, I'll see if I can get it working again after the jam ends!
Also, thank you so much for playing my little game and reaching the end, I really do appreciate it! ^^
The 3D mode was much better than the 2D, but it's still interesting. We had a pretty similar idea, I did something similar! Good job.
B'aw, thank you! I love it when great minds think alike - I'm super excited to play your game now, haha~
And yes, I agree - I put a lot more effort into the 3D aspect since it was my first time working with 3D and wanted it to look at least decent, ahaha~ Unfortunately, the time limit didn't allow for much polish in the way of 2D, but I'll try to get that fixed after the jam! Still, thank you so much for playing my little game! I'm off to try out yours now, hehe~ ^^
